We elect our presidents through something called the "Electoral College." Just cause you win the popular vote, doesn't mean you win the whole election. Each state in itself is worth a certain amount of votes, depending on size and population of the state itself. Gore could've gotten a lot of the popular vote from states with little votes, and Bush have gotten few popular votes but win the bigger states. There really is no manipulation of the votes, not our fault that the people in Florida were too fucking stupid to punch in the right thing.

Polar, you're trying to make good points, but it seems like ignorance on your part makes most of your points moot.

I'm not going to go down and quote you, I assume everybody can scroll up to see exactly what you said... The reason it matters if Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, or long range missiles, or biological weapons, is because they said they they wouldn't have any of those things at the end of the Gulf war.

I don't l ike to go through posts point by point, so I won't, I'd just like to say that maybe you should try getting knowledge, and then making an opinion... What you seem to be doing now is making an opinion, and then getting the knowledge that conforms to your opinion.

When I started thinking about that, I realised how true that is. I hate George W. Bush, and i'd love to see yankees get their ass kicked. But you can't say that my posts would have been total bullshit, there is some truth hidden. And the same goes for your posts too, nobody gets any "real" information from the battlefield, and the news are completely different depending on the point of view. I haven't seen USA show any waterproof evidence against Iraq, but I can't say that there couldn't be any. Noone really knows for sure. None of us.

And what goes to that election system, it has its pros and cons. I'm not saying that it totally sucks, I just said that without Bush's actions on Florida's votes, he wouldn't be a president. And it's weird that Gore, who got the most votes, didn't become a president. I know why it is that way, but it's still weird.

And for Adman: when Saddam was slaughtering his own people, he had USA's support.

Yes, I do know what I'm talking about. Congress is the one who decides we should go into war or not. I was in ROTC last year and memorized all the questions. Just because I was in ROTC doesn't mean I didn't hate it. And, yes, I know the war has already gone, but Bush had began digging our grave as soon as he said we're going to bomb Iraq. It just bothers me that war (in any type of way) seems to solve almost all our problems. I wouldn't be surprised if new technology turned to disaster in the world...sometimes people can abuse power.
