many moves and things like that have been confirmed since i made the topic and some are good, some bad...the jumping on the head thing dameon was talkin about is apperantly true, along with some other great things...

best thing for me...and for majority is marth still being possibly best top tier in game, and being a sexy marth user that i am, il still be meteor smashin peeps through ken combos...

bad thing is...wifi online matches are only possible through your friends list...which u can only have 64 friends max for that matter...and no online ranking has been made, like looking at top players and stuff...but u will only rank against ur friends, being able to see who you defeated and how any times and stuff like that...so thats pretty weak...

but anyone who got the wii and wants to brawl, message me and il share my friend code with you...

For the first time, this celebrated series is going Wi-Fi, allowing up to four players to brawl, no matter where they may be.

Nah the learning curve isn't steep at all man, you'll be wrecking fools in no time. The thing is, there are tiers concerning the characters; meaning some characters are naturally better than others. One example of real skill (different kinds concerning this game) comes from using one of the lower-tier characters and wiping the floor with one of the higher tier characters.

For instance, Fox has always been a top-tier character in Smash. He's fast as hell, has a good recovery, his smash move is good and has a good long range attack. Mr. Game and Watch, is a low-tier character. I don't know his exact moves because I never use him, because he sucks. If you can make Fox your bitch consistently, you're either pretty good or the Fox player is horrible.


And I'm not sure about online play- I thought I heard a rumor about them taking it out? Can anyone verify online play?

this game looks pretty fun from what i've seen/read. i pre-ordered it, but i've never played any of the super smash brothers games...is the learning curve pretty steep?

edit: oh, and we'll be able to play anyone online via the wifi?

My friends and I already have two copies pre-ordered, going to hook up two tv's, two wii's, and the two games in my apartment the day it comes out and play maaad amounts of smash.

i think thats a rumor but im not sure...if your right, than theres no point behind spikes anymore so i doubt that will be allowed...basically, there will be no point behind marths, captain falcons and a few others down A move anymore...and since im a marth user (fox and shiek as well), but mainly marth, i will seriously be pissed if more characters have the same ability just by jumping on their head...i hope they dont have that

One cool new move is the stepstool jump, or the "mario jump". You can jump onto another character's head to provide yourself with an additional jump which also knocks downward the person you stepped on.

So, picture this, you see a person you knocked over jumping back into play, ready to grab onto the ledge. You can jump off, jump on their head to cut their return route, and use that jump to jump back in to safety and finish your kill.

release date is march 9th...and today being feb 9th...thats exactly a month....but to make things sound better, i say around 4 weeks

full roster contains 35 characters, and as of like couple of days ago, it seems meta knight and diddy are pretty over powered...compared to other characters anyway...but im sure the old vets like fox shiek and marth are still gonna be banging

btw, for those who dont know, wavedash shine and l canceling have been removed from brawl, or the rumors say, and i think wavedash does exist but doesnt look liek the old one...and i dont think it serves the same purpose but i dunno really since i have no clue who owns the jap version around my area...

however, it is gonna be online, and it will rock if i get to play one of you guys from SS $$$$
