I would have appreciated McCain a bit more if he could actually look at his opponent while talking to him.

McCain was on the ropes when Obama used the Bomb Iran song, and his noting that McCain didn’t know that Spain was a member of NATO, let alone acknowledge talking to Spain’s leader when previously asked if he would.
McCain did seem happy when he praised his sidekick Maverick Sarah Palin…at that point I wanted to puke!

I only hope that they do not stick to discussing Foreign policy. Too much time was spent on this topic and it should have had more focus on the people of this nation.

McCain came across to me as a continuation of Bush policy if elected…The Surge, Supporting the Veterans, The Surge, Our Veterans, Gen. Petraeus, The Surge…uhg…blah blah blah, I listen to my Generals and they tell me what to do. Sounds like Bush to me.

As the news channels all have pointed out, except Fox Noise as I will not watch that channel, McCain was not wearing the all important U.S. Flag Lapel Pin. The GOP only spent 6 months talking about how un-patriotic it is not to wear this. Odd to see this, especially from Mr. War Hero and POW John.

I don’t think this debate has changed anyone’s mind that has already decided who their candidate will be. There really needs to be more hammering on certain points. John seemed to show anger at some of Obama’s comments, especially the Bomb Iran song and the fact that McCain had everything wrong initially on the invasion of Iraq.

McCain seems to not have any interest in talking about the central point of terrorism in Afghanistan and Pakistan and McCain called Pakistan a failed State! Nice public relations and foreign policy on McCain’s behalf!

I am sure the sound bytes will be aired non-stop in the days to come, of which will target specifics that possibly will do more harm than the initial viewing this evening.

One thing I found interesting today was a supporter of McCain's campaign came out calling for fellow GOP members to have Sarah Palin step down. Please NO!!! Sarah makes me laugh everytime she opens her dumb ass mouth.

WASILLA, Alaska -- In a move sure to enhance both his reputation as a maverick reformer and his relationship with conservative voters, Republican Presidential candidate John McCain has hired Kenyan Pastor Thomas Muthee as his chief negotiator in the ongoing financial bailout negotiations in Washington.

Muthee, who is credited with Palin's rapid ascension in politics by laying his hands on her, will fly to Washington D.C. later today to begin the process of "removing the witchcraft" from the troubled U.S. economy.

"Senator McCain is a proven maverick reformer and so is Pastor Muthee," said McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds. "Huge government bailouts are not conservative methods. Fighting witchcraft, however, is. And no one fights witchcraft like Pastor Muthee."

Muthee, who first earned fame by chasing a woman out of his village in Kenya, has long been a close friend and ally of Governor Palin. He said he plans to do the same for the U.S. economy that he has done for Palin's political career.

"God wants us, wants to penetrate in our society, is in the economic area," said Muthee. "The Bible says that the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. It's high time that we have top Christian businessmen, businesswomen, bankers, you know, who are men and women of integrity, running the economics of our nations. That's what we are waiting for. That's part and parcel of transformation. If you look at the Israelites, that's how they work."

House Minority Leader John Boehner said that by bringing in the Kenyan witchcraft fighter, McCain had again proven that he's serious about putting country first.

"One thing the American people have to know is that all of us around the table take this issue very seriously and we know we've got to get something done as quickly as possible,'' said Boehner. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy," said Palin. "Helping the—oh, it's got to be about job creation, too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans, and trade we've—we've got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, um, scary thing, but 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We've got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation."

Upon being informed that Muthee would lay his hands on the U.S. economy, however, Palin said she was thrilled and respected Muthee's boldness.

"As I was mayor, and Pastor Muthee was here, and he was praying over me, you know he speaks, and he’s so bold," said Palin. "He’s praying, ‘Lord, make a way. Lord, make a way.’ I’m thinking this guy is really bold. He doesn’t know what I’m going to do. He doesn’t know what my plans are, and he’s praying not, ‘Oh Lord, if it be your will, may she become Governor.’ No. He just prayed for it. ‘Lord, make a way and let her do this next step,’ and that’s exactly what happened. Speaking at the Wasilla Assembly of God, Muthee said he was prepared for the challenge of healing the U.S. economy.

Reached for comment in Washington, a flummoxed Nancy Pelosi said that while she hates witchcraft and python spirits as much as anyone, she was perplexed as to what Muthee would bring to the negotiating table.

Still, many top conservatives are excited about the move to free the U.S. economy from demonic spirits.

This is what pisses me off about liberals, the question was this, "HOW DO YOU INTEND TO HANDLE THE IRAQ WAR?" Obama responds with "no, the question is why are we even in IRAQ?"

Listen asshole, thats 5 years ago. He asked you what YOUR going to do about it once in charge, he didnt ask for a history lesson. OBAMA simply refuses to show or talk about any of HIS plans, but rather point out stuff that the Bush administration did.

McCain may have been more forceful in his delivery, but that pussy wouldn't even look Obama in the eyes. The little bracelet crap he pulled was also typical McCain. I would call that debate a draw, I don't feel that either side really gained any ground.

Obama brought up Pakistan but tough talked bin Laden and soft talked Russia. Kind of risky but I think it'll appeal to most people. He also did a good job of calling out McCain when he was lying and being direct. At the very least McCain's camp can't use the "he can't speak without a teleprompter," talking point anymore.

McCain didn't look horrible though. For some reason a lot of people in this country like hearing that we will be forceful against Iran and Russia while being so strongly against diplomacy with dangerous leaders. Do they think that we're the only country still capable of blowing everyone back to the stone age?
