That's just too much man, btw 4-6 hours ?! That's so little, especially 4 hours. You can't go to school/college/university and only sleep 5 hours on average.

I'm 19.
During school I usually try go to bed at midnight to wake up around 8 or 9 (it usually takes me about an 45 to an hour to actually fall asleep) so around 7 to 8 hours.
During working days, I go to bed at 10 with the help of sleeping medicine (not helping as much as I would like) to wake up at 5:30.
Going to bed and waking up the same time on weekends as weekdays should help your body get used to it.

Ever since I graduated college I turned into more of an old person. I sleep from 11 PM-8 AM or so, then again I'm unemployed and no longer a student. I'm saving up my sleep for law school.
EDIT: I'm 23.

I go to sleep between 10-11 pm and wake up at 3:45am mon-friday. On the weekends i go to bed usually 2 am and wake up between 6-7 am. Anything over 5 hours of sleep for me is too much, its to the point now i usually wake up before my alarm clock goes off. Usually wednesday ill take a 2 hour nap when i get home from work but thats about it.

wow, seems like i'm one of the few persons here that actually follows a fairly regular sleeping pattern.
on a typical working or school day i go to bed at around 11 pm and wake up at 7 am. during (normal) weekends i usually go to bed at around 12 or 1 am, and then get up at around 8 or 9 am. i actually set my alarm clock during weekends, because i somehow get headaches when i stay in bed for too long. i'm 20 btw.

my sleep rythm gets screwed over bigtime due to work.
work day #1 (morning shift):
sleep 12-01am, wake up at 5:30am.
work day #2 (morning shift):
sleep 12-01am, wake up at 5:30am.
work day #3 (night shift):
sleep at 5-7am, wake up at 2-3pm.
work day #3 (night shift):
sleep at 8am (when i get home from work), wake up at 2-3pm.
on my days off, I'm normally up from 1-5am, except the last day off, when I "force" myself to go to sleep at around 1am.
yay! :turned:

go to sleep: if gf is staying over, whenever she does (usually around midnight), if not then 2-4 am
wake up: during school 7:30 am, at home 10 am
duration: usually 6 hrs, but i sleep very lightly and hardly ever sleep straight through the night, usually broken into several intervals

For the summer, I am currently trying to get to sleep at around 11pm. Realistically, I don't manage to turn off the lights and lie down until 12.
Alarm is set at 6:30. I wake up, but I don't get up until around 7am. Work starts at 7:30am, but it is about a 6 minute drive from my house.
At work, during lunch break, I usually finish with about 10 minutes to spare, so I manage to get a quick powernap in before I go back to work.

When in school I would sleep from 1 - 2 am and wake up at 7:30 am so about 6 hours on average.
I would always have to get in a good 12 hour night on the weekend, though, to recover otherwise I'd fall asleep at like 5 pm on a Tuesday evening.
Not in school or working right now so 10 hours a night. :greedy:
