When you decide to defend your country you get certain rewards.

Our tax dollars pay for his health care because he goes to foreign countries that we are at war with and fights and/or helps fight enemies to our country which lets us all relax and enjoy our freedoms.

That makes sense because he helps protect our country, and in return we pay him back by making sure he is taken care of if he gets injured while serving. Homeless people, and poor lazy people on welfare just take up space and drain the economy, why should they get the same treatment that someone who defends our country get for being lazy?

Or in Izor's case since it is government healthcare instead of a reward he gets treated with terrible care because only the worst doctors would want to be involved in anything the government runs since it always fails. So in his case it is a punishment but you get the idea.
