I was diagnosed with depression in high school. Honestly there is a tremendous difference between having a down day and having depression - I can't really describe it. For me it was a feeling of being consistently burned out for no reason. I think also there are a lot of pills out there that are "believed to" work in certain ways, but no one is certain of their actual effects on the body. I had friends who were on the seritonin drug, but they said it made them zombies. I stayed away from meds and eventually grew out of it in the later years of college. I'm not sure what it was necessarily, perhaps the new challenges and people that I met, that ultimately got me out of it.

And at the same time say that homosexuality is a choice, that everyone is homosexual only that some are a bit more predisposed to "become" gay than others?

I used to become severely depressed after extended periods of taking Adderall, up to becoming very close to attempting suicide.

Actually this is unrelated because my depression ended when I stopped taking Adderall.

we are talking about too different things, you are talking about psychologic issues, im talking about brain damage / brain chemistry / brain receptor densities

there is a depression that exists where the depression is as much physiological as the hallucinations from schizophrenia are, as the falling unconscious of narcolepsy is

so you get how we are talking about too separate things by now im sure because you ant be that dumb

you cant just say "oh well yes theres narcolepsy, schizophrenic hallucinations and 100 other brain disorders but theres no such thing as 1 that causes depression and 100% of depression is psychologic"

there is a depression thats 100% physiologic just like the hallucination hearing voices of schizophrenia is 100% physiologic.

You dont get what depression is, its not emotional, it has nothing to do with thoughts - its a sick feeling in the spine, brainstem, and base of the brain, combined with shaky hands and a dysphoric malaise feeling thats like a head flu. you can feel the feeling reduce in intensity if you take an opioid, or a very specific drug that affects the limbic system

you are talking about emotional issues, im not. im talkingabout something thats like eye color, like dyslexia or narcolepsy or down syndrome in its nature- its super fixed and super brain-based

if you think your depression is merely a symptom of something physiological why are you wasting your time with anti-depressants, trying to treat a symptom? if you are actually talking about depression chances are you want its cause to be something external instead of endogenous.
