Alright well after talking to Pure_Luck and Wax about everything we still can't really come to any real consensus about how to properly go about the current forum situation. So this is what I have to say about it and I hope some of the other forum members who have been around long enough can respect this enough that they won't leave the forums.
First off everyone should use the left-lower drop down box to change the forum theme to "darkness" because it really fixes the first glaring problem with the change over to the new vbulletin 4.0.
The situation is the game server itself is really old, and really crappy, right now Priitk and Pure_Luck pretty much pay for everything on it out of their own pockets, this forum upgrade which includes advertisements and because of that forces censoring is to help pay for an eventual game server upgrade to ASSS which is much more stable and has many benefits which would improve the zone and take it to the next step. Including fixing the eurolag during certain hours situation and many other problems with lag, and bots crashing. I still don't agree that it was handled correctly, we should have been notified about this first and I think that despite the forum communities dislike for totalitarian dictatorship on the forums from people who aren't consistent contributors to the community that we would at least understand why it had to happen. Wax told me that nothing else would change, only five words are censored such as the f bomb, the c bomb, and a few racist words and that by no means in the future would anything else be censored.
Also this was hoped to promote in game population as well, because we all know it is dwindling and hopefully the articles and blogs that members of the forums will be writing if this shit storm ever calms down will bring new players to the zone, and maybe even the forums. The thing is, lets just deal with it for a few weeks and see if this is even viable before we threaten to walk out, remove the forums from your bookmarks or cause any more mayhem and havoc that have already been caused through people complaining about the situation and bitching out Wax who although had good reason to do this, did so in a manner that made all of us think the forums were being sold out.
So lets give it a few weeks, see how everything boils down, and see if the money we make to help improve the game is worth the censorship that we are going to have to deal with on the forums themselves.
