I do enjoy beer. I don't drink like I used to, still too much at times <_< but not like college.
      Fuck it.

      • If you come to Houston we could meet up and have some BBQ, hopefully Goode Company or Rudy's.

My home town Conroe has a great micro called Pine Belt Ale, bombshell blonde is amazing.

Mountains are pretty gay, especially ones capped with snow, I mean what good is that going to do besides we don't have to deal with asshole skiers. Now nice plains is what is the best thing to see, Nice and flat.

        • one of my favorite drives in the state between Silverton and Ouray. Red Mountain Pass, also known as the "million dollar highway" not a damn guard rail the whole way and whole lot of memorials to state snow plow drivers who plunged over the edge.

Edit: "million dollar highway" is from when it was built in 1924, it cost $1M per mile to build! allegedly anyway. lol

            • Really? Its a shithole town though in all honesty. What could you possibly be doing up there besides Lake Conroe.

                • this thread confuses me. Obviously every region has its own claim to fame in the culinary field, and by now everybody's secrets have been absorbed by pretty much everybody else.

Best Pizza I've ever had: drunk as fuck after a pixies concert in chicago
Best Hot Dog: downtown Detroit after a Tiger's game.
Best BBQ: St. Louis (though to be fair I haven't traveled much south of tennessee)
Best seafood: Texas, although I'm heading out to Boston in the spring so we'll see.

Best Landscape: White water rafting through the smoky mountains
Best Beach: Ocho Rios, Jamaica (oops).

And as far as the ladies go, when you can only dress in skanky club clothes for 1/3 of the year, you better believe they go all out. Any big city will have a fine selection of beautiful women, so its ridiculous to argue about that.

And for my personal interest, most urban cultural/art scenes that pertain to my tastes are on the west coast or NYC. and if anybody has any interesting rural art scenes to throw my way....still waiting on that one.

But the thought of not waking up on Christmas morning with snow on the ground makes me queasy.

edit: And as I believe I've mentioned before, my local microbrewery has two beers in the top 10 (one is ranked #2, the other #8) on Beer Advocate's 100 best international brews, so lets cut the shit about anywhere having the 'best' beer.....says scurvy as he is about to leave for a christmas party with a 24 back of black label in a can.

This isn't going anywhere special or making a trip. This is a picture from inside the city on the highway. This is what we see all day everyday.

PS this is a USA thread. Go make a "who has the best igloos" thread for europe somewhere else
Seems like you're the one incapable of reading. I didn't mention Europe anywhere. And Denver is hardly the only city that has mountains around it, so again it's nothing special. It doesn't make your city better than any of the other cities surrounded by mountains. California has stunning views too for example. So how about you learn to read instead.

You have to be kidding. BBQ is the best part of living in the south and St. Louis isn't the South!

The only place to get good BBQ is in North Carolina. Although some state named Texas won last year’s BBQ cook off, it was for a brisket. What the fuck is a brisket? Sounds like some pussy French cut of meat. Apparently they don't even know what a pig is in Texas never mind how to cook it.

Another great thing about the South, no need to spend a lot of money getting married. Simply spray print your sisters name on an overpass bridge and your are done with the engagement.

For the wedding, simply have her kick the beer cans off the floor of your pickup truck and take her to your parents mobile home for the service.

Mom’s home-made wedding caked will be leaning over on the folding table and the dad will have on his best overalls, none of the guys even have to wear a tie.

Cost of entire engagement, wedding, and honeymoon in Gatlinburg, <$250. Cost of having your sister since she was 14, priceless.
