I did not say that at all, the point I was making was about lex parsimoniae. I buy into that, it has been my experience making fewer assumptions is often the correct approach.
So if you see a line of trees knocked over, the least amount of assumptions is that wind blew them over oe someone cut them down. It take a lot more assumptions to buy into the belief that an alien spaceship broke every known physical law do it, or that God came and performed a miracle, or that the Loch Ness monster did it, or that the big, bad governement snuck in the dark of night and did it.
