Ron Paul would erase any progress our nation has done in the last 40 years towards progressivism and getting us to a reasonable place in the world stage.

Civil rights was a pretty big step... Roe v. Wade... NASA and a large amount of scientific advancement... all would lose support from the executive under Ron Paul

Most of those predictions could have been made by anyone in 2002. In fact, a lot of people generally would have predicted those things would happen which is:
                  1) The Iraq war will happen, even though lots of people are against it (remember all the people protesting it BEFORE it ever happened?)
                  2) Inequality will increase (thus all the opposition to the Bush tax cuts)
                  3) The Israeli-Palestinian conflict won't be solved, and different countries will play sides, and the US will spend lots of money trying to secure peace (it's as good a prediction as that Simpsons episode when the radio news guys are replaced by the machine that even injects witty banter like "Looks like those clowns in congress did it again. What a bunch of clowns.")
                  4) China/Russia will exploit any openings by the US (as power politics between powerful countries has happened since the beginning of time)
                  5) Civil liberties will erode under the Patriot Act (I believe most educated and non hardcore conservative people at the time would have agreed with this, which is why it was unpopular from the start)

What Ron Paul gets wrong is the entire 'the entire financial system will collapse, thus increasing inflation, increasing interest rates, and making the gold standard inevitable' which is more or less one of the biggest things that's he's been preaching for decades. I guess if you say it long enough, like the rapture guy, you may eventually be correct. But all of his points fail on that one (interest rates remain at historic lows, inflation remains flat, and the gold standard is nowhere near credible), except that he predicts there's going to be another recession in the future (duh, I can predict right now that in the future during an unspecified time period there will be another recession and I'll be 100% right).

Unless I missed something, there was maybe only a slight implication of reverting to the gold standard. I think his words were "people will look to gold for stability".

As far as what his predictions, most of what he said would have never come true had Kerry been elected. There was no reason to re-elect the president in 2004. It was becoming obvious there were no weapons of mass destruction, we were spending billions a week fighting two failing wars. All signs pointing to extreme luck. Seriously, didn't Kerry campaign on "I said No to the war in Iraq" "there are no WMDs" "I'm not Bush" "ill pull us out"? And he lost pretty sizably too, nothing close to 2000.
