But I still think Romney was the lesser of two evils, as I stated before, I don't trust a prez in his second term.
Oh come on. Have some faith, Spock! It takes at least 2 terms for a president accomplish his dreams!

Sorry for double post, still can’t figure out how to edit existing posts since the forum upgrade.

FYI, A full ½ of the private sector jobs in the US are found in small businesses (small business = less than 500 employees). The vast majority of these small business jobs are found in businesses with less than 50 employees. For a better understanding of small business jobs see this SBA white paper “An Analysis of Small Business and Jobs”.

As I mentioned, business and the economy has yet to vote, yesterday the DJIA had its worse sell off of the year (down 312 points). While DJIA movement is obviously caused by many factors it certainly can be said to be a good indication of business confidence.

Now would be a good time to be invest in some gold/silver (an investment that always does well in times of financial instability). Short-term it will be going up at least until Jan 1. IMO, the long-term outlook is also a very good bet.

But if you think that the Republicans and Democrats will ‘come together’ and get things done, then keep your money in stocks. If your confidence is high about the election results then Apple would be looking like a great deal right now, it has dropped 20 percent since their September peak.

For those who voted and put the status quo back in office now is the time that you can step up and ‘vote’ with your dollars too. Talk was cheap but to help your country in a financial meaningful way, invest your nest egg in the market or go open a new business. Then come back next year and tell us how things are going.

The above is exactly what hundreds of thousands of small business people are facing right now. A lack of confidence results in less new hiring, less expansion of inventory, less investment in new products. <-This is what drives our economy.

yeah, i am interested too, this shitty statement is all we got so far :/

"The Department of Justice’s enforcement of the Controlled Substances Act remains unchanged. In enacting the Controlled Substances Act, Congress determined that marijuana is a Schedule I controlled substance. The Department is reviewing the ballot initiative here and in other states and has no additional comment at this time." From the United States DOJ

hopefully over the next couple days we get something more juicy.

Also, my state just legalized the commercialized sale (including high tax revenue) and possession of marijuana; as well as blocked the attempted repeal of our approval of same-sex marriages from last year. Come on down to the most liberal state in the Union!!! I voted to approve both for various reasons, but the most intriguing to me is to make the state a social experiment, and to see if we have a boom in population and tax revenue over the next 5 yrs; due to in influx of homosexual citizens and commercialization of pot. With pot legalized too, they also passed a no tolerance driving under the influence law which might also generate shit loads of revenue.
Experiment indeed, since pot is still a Fed. offense isn't the state going to end up in court over this? I wouldn't put it past the Feds to remove funding for roads or something if the state doesnt comply. Next few weeks ought to be interesting if nothing else.

Note, this tax increase occurs automatically UNLESS both Democrats and Republicans vote to change it. Given that the Congress is just as divided as before (or more so) and the status quo, what makes anyone think that middle income families aren’t now going to be paying the ‘bill’ for the benefits that the Feds provide? So my thinking is that the acid test is going to be very quick here, no election honeymoon, this is going to be put to the test almost immediately.
