      it's not specific enough... something that can kill and not die but can fly with no wings can be anything! It can be a big rock i throw and hit someone on the head. it can even be a bullet from a gun...... right? well what is it, then?

                        First in "even", but not in "odd". That means you can choose from E,V or N.
                        Do that for all lines:
                        1) E, V, N
                        2) S, C, E, P, T
                        3) L, N, G
                        4) H, U, N
                        5) W, A, S

                        Then you just go down the line and see what jives with the last hint. Venus.

                              I'M STILL confused. why would you only use E, V, N? What does "odd" have to do with it? What's the "first" and "second" have to do with this?

                              • The clues refer to the letters in the words. The first is a letter in "even" but not a letter in "odd". In other words, the riddle is saying that the first letter is in even, but not in odd, the second letter is in "sceptor" but not in "rod", etc...
