eh? i can explain if u dont see, for this simple reason: it's all true to me. the man's father is his father's son. he has no brothers or sisters, so his father's son is him. furthermore, the man's father can be called the father's son. the father's son = his father's son = himself.

The person in the photograph is the speaker's son.

"Brothers and sisters have I none. That man's father is my father's son"

"My father's son" at the end is the speaker himself, as he is an only child. So if you replace those three words with "me", you'd get "that man's father is me".

I've read those riddles when I was in gr 6..common ^___^

Riddle Contribution:

This man lived on a 20-storey building, where he lived on the top floor (20th floor). This man woke up early every morning to get to work at the laundromat. Naturally, he would take the elevator down 20 floors to get out of the apartment building to where he works. After his work shift is over, this man would then ride the elevator up 8 floors, and then proceed walking up the stairs until he reached his suite on the 20th floor.

Why doesn't he just take the elevator back up to the 20th floor?
