Sadaam in Tikrit?

So, www.cnn.com is carrying the story (well ya), about Sadaam possibly being captured in his home town. This comes at an interesting time when support for the Iraqi endeavor is waining, and troop morale is getting lower and lower. Thoughts? Personally, I kinda like the idea of him having been captured months earlier, and then released to be recaptured tonight. A savvy politcal move to boost troop morale and show the effect of a continued US presence in Iraq. But that's a little too conspiracy theory.. or is it?

at first i would have thought that he would fight to the death, but i was suprised when i heard he was cooperating. makes you wonder.. part of him may have wanted to be captured just so the constant hiding would end.

Either way, thats pretty cool that they caught him, but I was half expecting him to be "caught" around election time next year to give Bush the popular vote.

Great News!!!

He killed, personally or by orders, over 1 million people. Even since he has been captured he has shown no regret for any of the atrocities that he has commited. And so much for his "Die as a marytr" mantra he was giving to his people and the world. He had 2 guns with him but didn't fire a shot.

If they pull the troops out now the country is going to fall apart completely. That would sort of negate any reason for attacking in the first place.
