Actually it is quite sweet already, with just enough tanginess to bring out the flavor in the fruit. Adding maple syrup would add sweetness, but would also add a conflictory flavor with the ginger and coconut. Try sweetened corn syrup or sub the lemon juice for pineapple juice.Originally posted by Material Girl

Only 1/3 of the fruits are going into the salad, the leftover is probably going to last me for a week.

Citrus-Ginger Reduction
2 1/2 cups water
5 cups granulated sugar
2 cups chopped lemon grass
1/2 cup julienned fresh ginger
4 lemons, zested and juiced
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan, and simmer over medium-high heat until boiling. Boil the mixture until the sugar completely dissolves. Strain the mixture into a clean bowl and let cool. Once it is cold mix well with your fruit.
I probably give it a go, although I don't think I will use ginger.
I didn't buy any lemons, but there is a lemon tree in our backyard. And there are last years lemons hanging on the tree. Techniquelly, it is actually our neighbours lemon tree ... but half of the tree is actually in our territory

You have to make it taste a little bad otherwise they'll know something's up. As a nice side effect, paint has hallucinogenic effects. Of course, you could just add alcohol.
