                  There's absolutely no point having fps over your monitor's refresh rate. Usually on 1280-reso monitors can put up maybe 85-100 hertz and that's the max fps it can show.

                    Of course more importantly it's limited by the human visual system which pretty much tops out around 60. If there is extremely fast motion in the scene then you can detect differences up a little higher.

                      You know human's visual system used to be better when we still hunted all our food. We don't need to focus our eyes long distance so often anymore.
