If you make the top 20 and he says, "Jessup is arbitrarily banned from playing the championship", obviously TW Staff wouldn't support that. But at the same time, yeah, it's sort of schoolyard rules. If someone makes a set of game rules and people want to play it, there's no reason why they can't play it. And if they're unfair in their application of rules, people probably aren't going to want to play their games in the future.

But the biggest point is, this isn't introducing any new play that isn't already in the game. A group of squads could get together and form a small 4-team playoff over a month's time, with everyone putting up $5 in the pool. Why not? It's just using TW as the facility, like a gym for a local basketball tournament. It's their league.

I see what you mean that it could get out of hand. But I'm willing to bet it won't. This zone has a way of keeping itself in check. It's 2019 and the bottom line is that we need to have stuff that people want to play going as much as humanly possible. Anything that is making activity and building hype in this game is pretty much a good thing. Can any address problems down the line.

including the current season is not a good idea, and even if you extend it for 2 weeks there are people who have too many games played that even if they went on a very good run they're unlikely to reach the top 20, and they shouldn't miss out purely because they didn't know for 4/5 of the season that stats for this season meant anything.

I hate to say it but Claus you being top 3 in wb for the current season is suspicious as to why you're wanting this season to count and announcing it 2 days from the end....let's just start fresh from the new season to save all integrity.

Gonna say it again, and people will all side agaist me, but please split the elims. Any momentum gained in a ship jav or warbird is crushed by the other.
im kinda sick of playing bad elims and building up interest in warbird elims with hype and consistant playing for a load of javs to come in and just vote 2 after just being sat in spec waiting for a big game.
im sure javs feel the same way on the warbird side.

He has a history of threatening to or excluding people. The 2nd paragraph of this championship announcement is kind of peculiar in this manner dedicated to some players. But I agree he can do whatever the fk he wants as long as it is him and his lil charts. In fact it is awesome his enthusiasm is put to good use. When it gets to adding winners to the official ?go elim arena, I am expecting staff to keep it straight and require it be the actual top performers or it doesn't go up.

The amount of whiners and crybaby's is crazy. I ranked up in like 10 days, and didn't elim in December or January.

I also don't control the seasons in elim or the dates. I had a good idea, and posted it a few days after starting to elim again -- the date for the ending of the first 2019 season was already set, and I wasn't aware of it when I had the initial idea.

2 weeks is plenty of time to hit Top 3. Lasenza only plays on Sundays. You can play 3 games a night and hit 90%+ confidence in two weeks easily. I think you're just rusty and playing poorly, and don't want anything to count until further down the line, it has nothing to do with me.

Again, the minority distorts everything by spamming forums, while the silent majority plays the game and has no issues, ergo they don't post or check forums.

Attacking me is pretty sad, but that's basically what every argument comes down to. I've made every TWLB and TWDT-B Final that I had zero league op involvement in since 2013. The only two Finals I missed, I was the TWDT Op. I do better when I don't help. Ohhh, Claus did something I don't agree with, and he's doing well in that league, it's very fishy!

Then I would probably say TL;DR version clause is going to do what the public requested but first he had to cry about how he didn't get his way in an essay.

1) Researching Championship points in Formula One and other competitions, they use an uneven distribution which I like. It rewards placing very high over consistently placing low. I think that's a better way to distribute points. This should be something close to the final product:




2) The Finals will feature some sort of system that grants players extra deaths for kills, or else it will be a boring strayfest that is the antithesis of great elim players who dominate by putting up 20+ kills consistently.

Right now, I'm leaning towards each player starting with 7 deaths, and being granted an extra death for every 2 kills.

A player who is hiding and 3-1 would have 8 deaths.
A player who is 7-7 would have 10 deaths, and be eliminated with a 7-10 record.
A player who is 10-2 would have 12 deaths at the moment.
A player who is 20-9 would have 17 deaths, therefore have 8 more deaths before elimination. This would put him close to hiders deaths, maybe even ahead.

There is some consideration to be given if we stop granting extra deaths once there are 2 or 3 players left, or else it could drag on. You'd still have plenty of time to build up a nice cache of deaths before then. But, once we reach that point, your deaths are locked in.

The death gains is still not ideal. People who can be 20-9 would also be getting 17 more deaths... it's a merit based system... that rewards people for being good during a match, when really the reward for being good comes after the match is over by winning it.

That being said it's also a decent way to ensure people are not hiding... Still I would prefer a battle royale system over this, even though I'm not a fan of battle royale or the games that have it.

Basically shrink the arena over the time. I notice this is possible in Pub with aspects of the base changing size, and walls appearing. Do the same in elim, that ensures people are forced to fight more directly as time goes on.

Season 9, the inaugural season of the EWC, has just started, but as an example, here is how the Standings would look if the season ended today:





Any ties in points will be broken by whoever had the highest rank in the four elim seasons. If still tied, then the highest Adjusted Rating rating will be used as a tiebreaker. In the unlikely even both those fail, a duel to 10 (winby2, NC, warp on spawn) will determine the higher placement, to be settled the Saturday morning/afternoon before the Finals. If neither player shows for the duel, a dice will be rolled.
