If you stopped playing, why?

First and foremost, the MMR system completely ruined my enjoyment of the game. I appreciate all the dev work Spooked put into TW and every bit of effort he poured into improving the game, but I believe he should have never touched MMR. The system he introduced made matches frustrating and unenjoyable. The old MMR had a well-balanced algorithm that made matches fun every night, with top players fighting for leaderboard rankings.

The issue with the current staff is that they don’t take constructive critism well and when you voice your opinion you’re considered a whiner lol.. we are the players, we are what keeps this game alive, its already miserable we have to play with YOGI and a bunch of dooksters, why flaw the MMR system? If the majority agrees the new MMR system is bad, why not revert to what worked? Instead, they replaced a solid system with something nobody wanted. MMR was ultimately the last straw for me. In what world does it make sense to play a point spread system where you have to win the game by 92 just to get 0 points, or drop 27 kills and still lose 30 points? The system is completely broken. It punishes good performances and makes matches feel pointless. This is exactly why so many players, including myself, lost interest.

The second reason I quit was the time zone difference after moving to a new country, which made it difficult to play regularly.

I truly loved this game, but the new MMR system definitely drove me away from the game, not playing til 8am to drop 25 kills and lose 42 points, shit is dreadful..

Like I said, I’m not downplaying anything Spooked has done for the zone but he definitely plays a big part on damaging the playerbase because he is stubborn and thinks he knows what he’s doing out there.. I hope he does what’s right and listens to the people of TW or he’s gonna be logging in with YOGI and DefaultDelphin18.

im all for what this extremely bright and articulate young man is saying. You speak very well. Anywho, some of us old timers (played LJ 03 with Elenya--took team to Playoffs), really try to get back into the game but are pushed away by a clunky system or by actual demented human beings (trancetunes mostly) and his gay pet ChiWawa (pawner).

Can't play anymore with people like Spookedone in charge or this idiot staffer Sprackle who exploits these awful troll pub settings or camps in corners ruining pub games daily while he gets to multi client and use his fake player bots whenever he wants to. The pub settings are constantly troll, and they literally allow league blocking by the small pack of trolls in this pathetic MMR crap left. It's a daily occurrence for me and a few others. Everyone should be allowed to play but it's no longer that. Why anyone would want to donate to a game doing this nonsense is beyond me. It's been a trollfest impossible scenario for over 2 years now. I'll leave now because YOU ALL SUCK WHO ARE IN CHARGE minus qan but qan should no longer be in charge either as he is out of touch and logs in too seldomly. Qan is not all bad though. I've seen this wild ban / block bs from same asshats daily when I am not abusing and have ratings that are decent or better than those doing these blocks too. I've seen other diehards continuum players also blocked too because they are trolled or have this same small group who want to gang up and abuse the block feature on them too. Tired of wasting my time to have a pack of brain dead broskis troll me and others out of playing the only decent competition left in TW. I do calls and nothing is done to stop the real abuse of teamkilling, unwarranted staff game kills and game throwing and it is just a toxic dump mostly of people left. Got shitheads like rampage as staff too constantly abusing the game kill features in mmr too. He just did it in a game i was added to and then blocked me.. i complain in text and get banned for spam loooooool.. What a complete joke. To my friends out there I made from 1999 until now I will miss you guys and wish you the best in life. The game was great when Yomama and Dock and even pure_luck was sysop. It could be great again but the house needs to be cleared and have REAL MODERATORS with the health of the game take over. That means NOT blocking people from playing no matter how poor they are.. I'm not referring to myself either as I know I am not the only one dealing with this nonsense and I am not that bad . my ratings prove it. I gave my all to the game as a twl cap and a twdt cap and participated in countless leagues and helped our player base as a staffer daily and also worked my ass off to help us during the steam launch(another complete fail by the higher ups) and was a top call taking staffer for 10 years but got fired due to staff corruption by henry saari who wound up getting usurped himself.. karma is a funny thing.. but now this guy spookedone takes the cake as the most incompetent staffer ever to head up Trench Wars. He has fostered an environment of hate and privilege to even be allowed to play the game towards vets like myself. Trans and gay hate is freely allowed too like from guys like this bald headed weasel vys, a well known lag and net banned cheater and pathetic father to his children and staff does nothing. Anyone like vys who plays games all day with kids and does trans hate openly and publicly daily is a pos loser lol. It's a gross dump now. So FK YOU to those who block me and to the trans or lgbtq bigots freely spouting off your bs in your personal bigoted attacks openly in public chat while staff does jack shit to stop it FK YOU TOO. Also fuck you for hating people in the player base who don't meet your expectations in gameplay and allowing them to be banned from playing.
