There are sides, and also illusion of power behind them. 4 years ago I had absolutely no issue with any of my friends believing in what are now considered liberal ideologies. Personally, I lean conservative, but not heavily. It didn’t change anything between us until those same people - friends and family - began to tag me as a racist, elitist, fill in the blank... none of those things are true and they should know it. I forgave them, but something awoken stupidity in people that is actually changing your environment as a whole for worse. Cancel culture, educational indoctrination, entertainment industry... there was a time when decent people could be moderate, because that’s the way America was supposed to be.

You can believe in whatever, I don’t really care. I’ll have a conversation with you about anything like normal human beings. But to be a proponent of silencing an entire half of the country means you aren’t American.

I agree that labeling (and shaming) people for particular political beliefs isn't constructive. At this point in history, it's also time for the GOP to die. It's overstayed it's welcome and has frankly lost all respectability. There's really nothing left of it to keep, and the Republican party dissolving would be just one of a long line of political parties going away in America. It's time for this one to end when it has no political platform and stands for nothing. They literally did not run a single issue in the RNC during the 2020 election. The overton window needs to shift back to where it was in the 1940s-1960s, when most of these Trump-lovers would have actually claimed America was great in the first place (what other time were they wanting to make America great again?). Take a look at the Republican Candidate Thomas Dewey's political stances in 1948 when he faced Democrat Harry Truman and compare them to literally anyone today. Republicans in the modern era would call him a raging socialist. Hell, take a look at Nixon's platform. Nixon tried to get universal healthcare to happen in America. Isn't that socialism to these people?
