I've lost all faith in the staff.. a warning..

If one of you was black would this matter get more attention than a simple warning?

Are you trying to say that staff was too lenient and it deserved more than a warning, or are you saying that staff was too strict and that it didn't deserve one?

I think it's actually quite funny that this guy spent probabaly 20 minutes of his life so he can show off to people who also are racist then hide behind their computers because they knew in real life if they did it, they'd get their little arses kicked. IF he's spaming that link around then yes maybe he'd get in trouble, but if u took that screenshot and tryin to show it as evidence its not useful. Besides he got a warning, thats the way staff goes. Warning then bann. His warnign will last for a week and if he does it again within the week he'll be banned.

Aight heres the thing, That's just the racist things directed at me... I don't want to repeat the rest.. It's bad enough I posted that link..looking back that does work out to his favor.. damn, But anyways, he spammed the link and blah blah being extremely racist, trying to spread his filth... I'd just like to see more done about this other than a warning..

If you were black wouldn't you want more than a warning also?

Staff still has to follow due process in this. It's treated the same way they treat any other rule violation. In the first instance where staff confirms he did something wrong, they can give him a warning. It doesn't matter if he's spamming this or tking like crazy. If he does it again later, then report it then. With the warning he got for this incident, another one should lead to sterner measures.


Also, it should not matter if any staff member is also a member of the race being targetted; the situation has to be treated equally regardless. Otherwise you'll wind up with a situation where being racist against one group gets a bigger penalty than being racist against another. There have already been complaints about this in the past and it's a practice that is also racist in its own way.

Case in point: you're focusing on the use of the N-word and the racism against blacks, but in what you posted, he's also being racist against Asians. Both situations have to be treated the same.

I think hes saying the n word gets more attention from certain mods than racism against asians or other races. Ive seen someone use the n word in-game and get three warnings at once, yet it takes longer(or maybe seems so) for other racism cases to get warned, which could also be any number of reasons, of course im just assuming thats what hes talking about.

Saying the N-word usually gets caught by pub bots, so it is easier to respond quickly. I don't see anything in that log that would be caught by a pub bot, so the only way staff can act (if they don't see it themselves) is if someone reports it. Hence, it is likely to take longer.

well, consideing the pubbot i'm looking at has a whole 13 different words in it's list and 8 are different variations of the N word, it's not really that surprising the bot doesn't pick up too many racist words...

Theres my point and his to some extent 8/13 are variations of the n-word, thats more attention given to the n word than any other - all racist words should be treated the same.

I agree. I me can call gemfire the word "azn" Like "Hey gemfire u azn whats up?" But i cant call Cape the word "paki" like "hey cape u paki whats up?" I think its the same exact thing, especialy since cape is really from pakistan.

Why can someone say "stfu cig ur from germany" (example) but i'll get warned if i say "stfu <person> ur from africa" Sure we know what its meant as, but who says im not offended by being called german or something like that. Why is the "n1g" word have so many things being reported when there are barely any for other words.

I think callin someone "azn" is the same exact thing as callin a black guy a "n1g" and so on.

In ur case, i think u are overreacting to something stupid. If u would just report him and not show him u care he probably wouldnt do anything else.
