I think squads should start rejecting everyone who asks if they could join, just to see how they would react to the news and then use that information as the basis for making the real decision about whether to accept them.

why the fuck would two basing squads with 50+ members merge to make one big squad with 100+ members?

on top of that, why would you have a basing squad with 50+ members when TWLB is scrambling just to find 12 legitiment basing squads?

Having seen this before, I can say with some assurance that it is done when people think it is an 'easier' way to try to make a good squad. Truth is the building a good squad takes a lot of work and mergering isn't the answer.
