I would prefer getting a bunch of goons (who at least have the intelligence to work a credit/debit card to be a member) than a person that just sifts through youtube or google video all day looking for internet funnies. They're also much more likely to change a community than to let it stagnate and whine about it until the best staff members one by one quit because they realize their hard work is fruitless to the unthankful faggots that ruin the community.

I'm interested in creating stuff for the TW Marketing campaign in Photoshop / Flash.
I've been contacted to join the TW Marketing commitee a couple days and decided to join since I like subspace / designing (not the only purpose im on the commitee tho).

I've been working a little on a flash banner, which you can find here; http://www.basingcrew.com/ssmarketing/banner.html I think it's OK, I'd like it to be great tho so I will put more effort in it. (not sure if we will be going to have an advert like that was just trying out stuff) If there's any advice you would like to give, this is ofcourse welcome.

On the new website which is going to be designed I suggested a top frame which is able to shut off for those who visit site (remembered). This top frame would be ment for those who are unfamiliar with the game.
It would contain a big download now for FREE button, and a basing / dueling / jav quick guide.

Also, I think the new website should contain allot of flash (which im willing to help with) because it makes the website look more appealing, which is what we want to attract new players.

Your ideas are very good Sumpson, but I'm against adding a lot of flash. As a webmaster, I strongly advise against it due to its slower loading time (for those who run that 14.4 modem connection lol) and because flash isn't very good for search engines. However, the site could have 2 versions, much like Shanky's server has.

Edit: Could you possibly make an intro page for the website? I think that would be the most plausible solution.

I've held back from making videos for SS because I'm mostly devoted to EG now, and most of you would frown down upon a video dedicated to that, but yeah. I'll start on a video near school's end on EG and put it up here. (Eg rules, by the way, I started playing after watching one of the EG videos someone made on Google Video).

Well obviously I didn't want to start this into an argument at all, it wasn't worth it, but I will say a few last things on my behalf:

It's not the 10 dollars that's hard, it's having a credit card or debit card that's tricky (I do realize there are methods, but most kids that are browsing the IGN or pokemon forums are gonna know how to do something like that). Secondly, you'd be very suprised, have you looked through a lot of the game forums? It's littered with the mmorpg and shit.

We are not interested in getting players with a 14.4 modem :P Flash doesn't really take long to load, and if flash is only used for banners/headers/navigation it doesnt matter much for search engines. I think a intro page is kinda bad tho, many want to see the site, not some kind of intro and wouldn't like to click "do not play intro" each time when entering the site. I think an intro is good for squad websites, but not for a big site like www.trenchwars.org.
