Merge the Elims!

Didn't u guys notice that belim is practically empty now? We should just merge the 2 elims back together again, back then it was fine and the skill level was higher too!

Its not our fault nobody wants to play your map because they are all in ?go javs... Don't punish the wbs for your dumbass mistakes. Instead of having 3.14^255 jav arenas, just make two.

i suggest just mashing them together for a week, alternate between wb and jav, and see what happens. if after the week is over, wb's and javs really dont get along, split them up again. then the worst that happened was a week out of the normal.

baby steps. if it turns out horrible, then it can be removed.

At first I was about to go nuts. I never was overly fond of the combined elim arenas. Though the points brought up were pretty valid. Baseelim is pretty dead lately, and even elim itself has dropped in activity. I've worked nights a long while, so I play elim in the wee hours of the morning and etc. Alot of the time now-a-days, both are without players.

Combining the arenas might not work, but I think we definatly should try it. Just the vote-fights between wb/jav elims will get more people to actually play. The Elim arena itself would double in people, and as I think zeebu said, it might result in some people getting better in both ships.

Although I dont like the idea, seeing how Im a terrible javelin most of the time - I think it should be tried for TW as a whole.

EDIT - and i think zeebu has most people by the balls on his last point. I can't think of a really great arguement towards changing it for a week just to check it out. Please don't feed us some bullshit about TWL taking up too much time to do this though please :wub:

I've got an argument for zeebu's point. Elim isnt broken. People still play elim. Lots of people still play elim. So please don't fuck with it by combining it with belim. It could not mess elim up at all OR it could mess it up, I'd rather not chance it.

There are plenty of other ways to get more people to play baseelim
1. Remove ?go javs
2. Remove ?go javduel
3. Fix the Rankings

Think outside the box please.
