Pbw and ?go base

I personally have the most fun during PBW. Everyone seems to remember that their is a flag that needs to be defended. Unlike normal TW where you can go to five different pubs and not find a single battle for the flag.

?go base and pub are different styles of basing. No reason to take one out just because the other is still going. Most of the ?go basers wouldn't do as well they might think in pub.

?go base got too strict by choosing the same players over and over again. if some1 who can actually do good but doesnt have reputation goes there there r little chances he'll actually play.

on the other hand pub is just a bit of a chaos to me. no organization, no real "basing" if u know what i mean.

so keep them both at leat each one choose what they like.

wow good public basing is sooo much better than ?go base. sure i like ?go base but to me it is very stressful because i am constantly trying to outdo myself and everyone else and when im not successful at this i get angry. when the basing is good in pub, it is so much more fun, chaotic, whatever. you dont have to play what ship your good at and your not around the best players only. i terred a lot during the weekend and it was a great chance for me to improve my terr skills while still having a lot of relaxed fun, i also called in some friends who wouldnt have gotten picked in base and it was fun to be playing along side them also. i did get killed by levis a few times and it was extremely lame but oh well and least things went well most of the time.

I like ?go base, it helps me train for TWL. I have to admit this weeks PWB was a ton of fun. It was like 10v10 and I was the only shark and with a lot of javs, a ton of dodging and repping. It was good practice and I had a lot of fun this weekend.

pub is fun when i feel lik eplaying, but recently, after work i don't feel like pubbing, i just want a relaxing base game that helps me wind down.

But if get 2 or 3 squaddies pubbing i'll pub.

?go base and PBW are 2 totally different things. All I ever play now is ?go base, and during the time where I was whining to axe the levi, the non hidden version of #myth (?go base) didn't exist. Once ?go base got popular, I lost all interest in pub altogether.

Try going into a pub game sometime. If a team happens to actually be defending the flagroom, there will be at best ONE spider, and about 6-7 javs, half of them doing retard shots and tking people. No one wants to play anything besides jav in public basing. The only time pub is fun is if you have a solid group of friends/squadmates and take over a pub.

I must also bring up the point of people not knowing how the fuck to play. In pub basing, if you have a couple sharks, they'll almost always lay all of their mines in a big clump near the top of the flagroom enterance. Then we have the newbie javs that have to, for some godforsaken reason, practice shots in a pub with people around them. In ?go base, if someone sucks, they're easily removed from the game. The captain system of ?go base assures at least SOME quality to the game. Where in pub, the game can easily turn into a shitfest from a single levterr or even a sneaky lev climbing up the side and firing at the FR, or a stupid asshole that comes to TK or whatever.

Leave ?go base the way it is. Many people (including me) find it more fun than pub.

Do what I do, relax, don't think, or look at your score, and do what the game was meant to be for, have fun, and you'll do find score wise anyways, pluss you already made a name for yourself so I wouldn't worry about being picked.

I would like to play pub but people get some insane pleasure out of killing staff to the point that as soon as I fly towards base I get 5 people following me all wanting to be the one that kills the staff member.

anyway, yeah the base weekend was fun; I came on sunday and racked up a 1400 terr bounty in an hour before I went out with my friends; The pub had really good basing. But, it's hard when ?go base is up on pbw to have pure basing in pubs with little experience showing their stuff

You missed my point ... what I meant was that 'be able to perform well only in ?go base does not mean that you are elite IMO'. To me, a vet is someone who can play multiple ships well in various arenas.

I do NOT agree ... high bounty is a result your RELATIVE superior skills to your opponents. You can't get a high bounty if you are terribly sucky (unless you are very very lucky, that is).

I never said I am good with anything ... I suck at jav ... not so good in shark, I can't terr and I don't duel in wb much.
