Twbd is just base but between squads and not random players.

btw, I'm in ?go base right now, forced spec mode, and only like 5 people in, including Inaphyt. shrug

Lancasters can be used in ?go Base and in TWBD games but they are not normally used. Warbirds and more so Javs are used as specials in base games because a Warbird can hunt a terrier easily and a Jav can do a lot of damage in a cramming situation. If you're looking to get into the basing stuff try ?go Base for a bit, get captain and try out the Lancaster in organized basing.

You could make your own squad, or at least be in a leadership role on the squad to influence your team to use lancasters in TWBD matches in TWD, then you're guaranteed to have the control of which ships you play in the match. However, your success relies on your squad chemistry and practice with the ships in the competitive basing environment.

Basically, you have to overpower a spider a majority of times you meet them in the flagroom to have using the ship in the first place, a justifiable decision. Because in the end, spiders are more versatile.

Spiders are more versatile? They burn energy so fast, no xradar, weak bullets... They fire twice, one lanc hit and BOOM! Rack him up.

Lancaster is a very good ship choice, pm me in game if you want a lanc duel help train yous a little.

A fellow Lancaster fan, YAY! I would love to see a team of 1 terrier, 2 sharks and the rest lancasters in a basing game. Perhaps we could get together in ?go base sometime and give it a run.

Most squads feel compelled to play only spiders in base matches, because they aren't up the the challenge of adapting new gameplay and tactics.

There are squads, like us, Disoblige, fucking faggots, that doesn't mind experimenting with ships and lines. Try seeking out squads that wants the same as you, or create your own.

Oh, and the most important tip:

When going into ?go base, and you get captain for the first time, don't panic. Ask the staff member who started it for help on picking a decent line. New players doesn't know who to pick, that's ok, get help with it. Fucking newbies doesn't know who to pick and refuses to take advice, that's not ok.

I think I would like to try my hand at something organized, but only if I can use a Lancaster.
