Hello,

Why does Trench Wars not have any kind of automated system where random people can start a 4v4 or 5v5 team game for practice? There is wbduel ofcourse, but this system isn't automated and not just everyone can start practicing.

For years there has been a system in premier leagues for practicing the game the way it is being played in leagues, far before bots even. And I'm sure configuring some bots for the task can't be too complicated, since they have it in premier leagues and we even have a tourneybot in Trench Wars.

I think a lot of people would have benefit by, and very much welcome, an automatic system where they can practice teaming without having to find squaddies that want or are available to play, without having to find an opponent to play, and without having to be afraid to lose points on the ladder. Everyone could practice their skills they need to use in a league game. We can all agree that playing elim or pub all the time doesn't quite do it, league games are a very different and much more difficult type of game.

Thank you for bringing this problem to staff's attention.
I've also noticed less activity on staff to start the base/wbduel/javduel/spidduel games.
I will try to give more attention to this, encouraging staff members to make sure base/wbduel/javduel requests are taken.

On the other hand, don't be afraid to use EventBot to ask for staff's attention to start games. As you may have noticed, staff isn't always around checking if such games have finished so we need to be alerted if a restart is required.
If you feel EventBot requests are ignored, it won't be a problem to use ?help. Please try using EventBot first though.

Please PM me if you have any further concerns that you feel need to be solved ASAP.

I realize that you have 'left' staff. But, I would like to know specific reasons why!

Any organization as large as TWs (especially one run solely by volunteers) is bound to have it's good and bad sides. Staff did when you were a part of it, and it does now. But imo, improvements are always being made. You were never terribly enthusiastic... about anything really, especially about being a part of staff, and I don't believe I ever saw you make a positive suggestion on how it could improve. So that leaves me pretty curious to hear what's motivated you to post negative comments regarding staff on the forums. Care to CC my inbox?
