The whole point of all this isnt to stop ppl like daldur playing.... its to stop download abusers and ppl that have above 300ms. and to everyone that said this is part of any game.... it's not... I have games like Battlefield2 counter strike and many others. if you join a server in any of these games and you have over a 200-250 ms ping.. u get kicked.. I understand that ppl from austrilia "think" they wont be able to play if this comes in.. but its not going to be like that. This bot will be set so that it'll stop high laggers and for ppl in austrilia it'll be above their lag. This bot would be made so that ppl downloading and thinking they can enter and play will be stopped. Also ppl have said that we already have a lag limiter in the zone. This limiter in the zone CAN'T be turned off... this bot can so if the server for the zone starts lagging it'll be set to shut itself down.

Oh and to rudy... who plays in trenchwars 24/7 (not in spec), this has been a problem for 11 years. I know alot of ppl that have quit because of this... and i think its time for change... if Extreme games can do it... y cant we.

I don't think that's a very valid argument. Just count the number of (alternative) servers you can join in CS or Battlefield 2 and compare that number to the single server Trench Wars is on. (AKA there is no other "Trench Wars server" to join if you're kicked for high lag while there are loads of others in CSS.)

Most ppl in CSS (which is wat i'd play the most) Run there servers from there own pc... i'll agree the servers arnt big.. but it works... i have my own server.

I'll agree that SS is free but if we had the option to update the server i'd paypal 100$ and i'm pretty sure someone else in TW would give some money to help... dont have to make it a game that u have to pay monthly or anything.. just have a donation option.

Again, prove it. You get me the names of these people who have quit and then after we implement your bot, I'll give you a list of people who will threaten to quit because of it. My name will be at the top of that particular list, and dare I suggest, mine will be bigger than yours.

Frankly, I don't trust bots to make such decisions. If I want to know what the server thinks of you I will check your tinfo, lag, and run a S2C trace over a period of time and look for deviations. I can tell you that when I went to twbd minutes after you linked me to your coup de grace response, I did just that to you.
You were sitting there with a 720ms average and half an hour later you were back to 120ms. You were downloading. I did not require a bot to tell me this.
I suppose those numbers do make it seem rather obvious, but that is quite a way off from our measly 260ms average which we already get ostracised for.

I like that you're passionate about something, but this is the wrong cause to take up. It makes you sound like a sore loser on the wrong side of one too many tanked shots. Because coming from someone who experiences what it's like on that side of the fence; the grass is not greener, the sun doesn't shine more, and we have thirty four other people in the arena to cope with to your measly one.

P.S Australia has three A's. Not asking for you to point to it on a map, just spell it right at least once.
