    • The !who command
      - Displays all players currently in the game.
    • Rating calculation change
      - Reverted to old PriitK formula. If you spec for rec and it helps your rating its voided, otherwise it counts.
    • Double kills, etc.
      - If you kill again within 5 seconds you get a double, triple, etc. kill.
    • Added anti-spawn functionality
      - If you are killed within 2 seconds of spawning it doesn't count.
    • Zoner spam abuse
      - Some players were abusing the zoner by speccing and re-entering. Fixed that.
    • Other stuff not worth mentioning
The 2 second thing... If you kill someone else within 2 seconds of spawning, does it count?

Also, if you lag out, does that count as speccing for rec if u dont make it back?

Oh and here's another idea that might be worth trying:
How about make it so that people are ranked according to those with the most won games to games played ratio. THEN apply priitk's formula to that (if possible- i'm really thinking outside the box here).

      • I don't really have anything constructive to add to the whole rating thing, but I hope Robo's rating formula would stay. As far as "hiding" or playing "defenisively" goes you can either win an elim 12-3 or 15-5 when there are alot of players playing. On the other hand you can go 25-6 if you are good.

My point is basically that you should be able to see Average Kills/elim in the elim-stats page, in order to get a "good" definition of who is good and who is not. http://forums.trenchwars.org/showthread.php?t=32249 for reference.

On another note: Is there a possibility to add a "stat page" where people have shared elim and belim rating? (ie. 250 k/d in elim and belim separately in order to rank)

edit: just played belim: i have no clue why you are not allowed to kill from outside. learn to dodge. also shrap doesnt kill and is way faster than what i remember.

        • i could imagine the end of the game slowing down due to someone having a hissy fit if allowed to lagout/reenter if they are getting owned as one fo the last 2 people still in

          • Ya, I'm kind of against a lagout module in elims, especially if there's a 30 second wait time to get back in. Unless the bot actually distinguishes between esc+s and an actual lagout, this has the potential for some abuse from players. While 2 minutes doesn't sound like a lot of time (the maximum amount of time to be taken up by two lagouts,) I think people will use it to their advantage, whether to avoid a death or to waste time when they're at 9 deaths.

But, if the bot distinguishes between the two, then it's no worries.

            • Well, if there's two people left then the person remaining wins. Perhaps I could take it down to just 1 lagout? I could add +1 death just as for a ship/freq change attempt.

                • I'd say 2 lagouts, but if the bot forces them to spec have it not count agaisnt them. If they manually spec, have it count as 1 death, just like TWD. Though, I don't know if there is any spike detection in the elim bot like TWD? Sometimes you just lag out tho, so can you tell if they hit esc+s vs a true lagout?

                  • The bot recognizes changing to spec as a ship change whether its intentional or unintentional.

                    • I don't know how I feel about the anti-spawn rule. I'm sure most will disagree with me, but I always thought the old old way of spawning everyone in the center added some strategy and unpredictability to the game that otherwise wouldn't be there. It made it so when the guy who was hiding got killed you could rack up a combo on him if you made it back to the center in time. Those guys who normally would run from a head-on conflict had no choice but to use some close range tactics once in a while.

And I agree that lagouts and specs that don't automatically eliminate players should add a death to their records.

                      • The old formula should be working now. It will not display your stats in the rankings until you have 300 combined k:d. Let me know if there are any problems with this.

                          • You still havent said what's going to happen to the old arena's.

Will they be left open? locked? removed?

If they(go javs) are left open people are still just going to go there, just like they are now even though they could be playing the same thing in belimbeta.

                            • The old formula should be working now. - Milosh

"Associated with each rating is a rating deviation which starts at ±100% and and goes down as you play more games. Rating deviation is displayed in brackets after rating and is omitted if it is 0. Your real rating is rating + or - deviation, - is assumed, when sorting top 100."

Have you figured out how this works though?

Also, could you fix it so that the bnty starts at 200 as elim has always been. Helps with telling apart different ships as well as a couple of other points.
