Staff: elections and axing

CK did a good job in banning PJ, he pulled cable to cheat, so he simply gets a 100 day ban.
Lets turn the tables...lets say i pulled my cable to cheat, i'm an active player to the zone, but do you seriously think i'll be getting the "unban vys, it's not right, threads". Will i fuck, i'd be getting the "100 days? is that it? ban him for life!".

But i do agree on some sort of voting, not to axe a staff member, but to vote whether they should get on staff.

I mean some of the new recruits, let me just say one name for example, uhm.. requiem. When i played on dice, he was telling us when a player was on red energy. He didn't even think that was illegal to do, he thought everyone from spec could see their energy. Oh and also during our dd match vs dice, I did a cheater call on Geio, and he let that private information out "requiem> lol do you seriously think you have room to talk vys vys> ? requiem> reporting geio"

But these days it seem's people only want to join staff so they can ban people, for example. I did a ?help call asking why i lag from 4pm GMT to 6pm GMT, i was wondering whether it was to do with the server or my side, so i could get it fixed. No reply. I do it again. No reply. Then after my third ?help flabby <ER> helped me.
But if i did a ?cheater call and said someone was setting off thors in elim, i bet they're would be a royal rumble on staff chat to see who can take the call.

In other words, lets stop all this hate. That's the main reason people quit, not only staff stop the hate with players, players stop the hate with other players.
We're all quick to start up threads about this zone dying. But i know when i first started, people were out to help me and people were complimenting me on shot's (even if it wasn't a good shot). So lets stop the hate and start doing something to make this zone how it used to be.

The thing is, I am actually an active player that was never even brought in contact with cheating or any such thing. You on the other hand had your lifeban, you got for cheating, removed cause staff would be able to detect your cheating with the new client. There is a difference between 1st offence and 2189045178012th offence and a difference between, but I guess you do not understand that because you have your head so far up your ass you could taste the cornflakes you had for breakfast. Besides that I didn't pull the plug as I've already stated 128931 times...

You simply got a lifeban for all the shit you pulled, sit that out please... Oh wait it got removed... Isn't it ironic that out of all people you are the one saying some1 has to sit out his ban because of the sole reason you do not like that person and then continue to talk about how we should stop the hating.

And the main reason people quit isn't cause of all the hating. It's cause of the increased amount of lag. Eventhough technology gets better year by year I see the lag increase year by year, which is weird. The knowledge of being better than multiple people yet losing to them more often then not because of lag is what sickens me.

decisions should be documented and then the staff member that made it should be held accountable.

when a complaint that makes sense is brought up, be a little more public about answering it.

also, if a staff member fucks up and it affects the public somehow, it should be known and acknowledged to all of us (and especially who did it)

Agreed with this. I never understood and still do not understand why staff is so unwilling to not be more open about matters apparently a big portion of the population cares about. Sure people might disagree with your fundamentals, but that isn't at all as much of a problem as long as you state why, what, when, how you did things. It isn't even about having a democratic voting system, it's about being open and willing to listen to the public. It's about being open about how you implemented/handled stuff concerning the majority of the people or even about how you listened to the public by implementing certain things. The way that it is handeld in TWL currently is a good way to me since they are quite open about what they changed and why they changed it, which is a good thing imo.

Active players in ?go base should get bot powers to start the game. If a member of staff isn't participating in the game, it's very unlikely he/she will come and start the game for us. I've seen it happen too many times.
