This summer I'll have a bit more time, and may be doing quite a bit more work to move Distension to what many of us imagine it could be.

So what this means is, dist will have it's own server, when you enter an arena you can just hop into a ship and play with no queue or being spec'd at the end of rounds? The auto-assist will be working flawlessly and everyone can play in harmony?

I hardly have time to code without testing it. Unfortunately, the users become the testers... I wasn't able to find any issues with the brick, but will try to come on some time today and test it myself. I'm creating a high-rank account for purposes of actually seeing things first-hand rather than relying on reports; I don't intend to play it regularly, for those who might find it unfair, and will keep my old account data for regular play in the few instances that I do. Should make these kinds of things less likely to occur.


For any interested, we may have quite a few of our problems solved rather soon. Without going into too much detail, I've worked out a very simple way to include features that were otherwise untenable without a complete ASSS port of the bot. This summer I'll have a bit more time, and may be doing quite a bit more work to move Distension to what many of us imagine it could be.

Or maybe have the 1-4am session every weekday and not on the weekends, and put the normal morning and afternoon slot on weekends, would mean everyone gets to play more. Nothing is on at 1-4am on weekdays anyway is there?

There are less wins and more ties now so if the RP is supposed to equal out I am not sure that will happen. All in all for an evolving game I think the above are improvements.

With the recycle today increased player limits are out of the question for now?

Some updates (what I can remember, anyway):

-Lancaster leech is now 10% per level as opposed to 15% per level
-Lancaster bullets now have slightly longer (30ms) time between shots
-Firebloom bullets are now faster in an effort to make it more useful. It is also prized twice as fast (L1 gives them every 120s, L2 is every 60s and L3 you spawn with one and get another every 60s)

-Weasel bricks now work differently: L1 - every 60s, L2 - every 30s and L3 you spawn with one and get another every 60s. They also don't last as long on screen.

-Terrier emp ability is now usable every 10 minutes as opposed to every 20

-Jav L2 bombs now cost less RP to buy and less energy to fire

-Endgame win RP bonuses are slightly higher
-Ballgame goals are worth less RP

-Bot PMs are now throttled even more in an attempt to remedy zone recycles - !armory and !status etc are going to be laggy

-Time from the late Monday 1AM slot won't count later in the day anymore

-Beginnings of an automatic (forced) assist/balancing system are in place and hopefully will be finished up soon

yeah i think it's time to change the schedule up a bit.

i can't justify playing from 9-11 pm, and I know a lot of people feel the same way.

Please change the schedule so that there's a time period between 5-9 pm at least once or twice a week.


And if I'm going to donate, which I'm fully willing, I want to be assured I'll actually get to play a little.

I have seen some talk in game so what are other thoughts about time slots. I don't know if a change is coming or not just think it would be good to have player input if a change is going to happen.
