My Hopes My dreams... My Levi

As a former member of leviterr, I am ashamed that Levi's dont have repels, they go together like peanut butter and jelly. Im one of those people who LT just to blow shit up on seperate frequencies, try to get my Levi up to a high bounty, my thought is, Leviterr's are natures way of clearing newbies out of a pub. I love the way the screen lights up with 5-10 yellow kills from a single levibomb, I love the way I think of new shots just to kill some more of you fuckers easier, Leviterring is a part of trenchwars pub, if you dont like it, there is plenty of other basing arenas to go to. Think about levi's they are supposed to be the highly defensive slow as hell ships, now from a umm new word to some of you "role play" state of mind, how the hell is a slow ship gonna be able to rocket faster then a terr or something. It makes alot more sense for a slow ship to have some sort of energy barrier against incoming shots.. Sorta like the turtle and its shell, the rabbit has speed, but the turtle has defence.. Perhaps im just rambling on, but I think the new settings for the Levi blow, and Should be removed. Oh.. did I mention I love seeing people type in nasty things to me after me or my levi kills them 40 or so times? yeah thats great.

Newbies are much more willing to stay in a lev filled pub. Most of the more expereinced players get bored and leave.

There is only one that doesn't require staff support to get started (or very motivated non-staff Mootland farmer stlye). I guess I could go idle in ?go firebase until ten or twenty people decide to join in... But that would be pointless and boring.

this whole post just makes me angry. the people that you're "cleaning out" of pub are the people who are trying to base

Yes, and sometimes at night, when noone is watching me and my "evil staff buddies" like to even "leviterr together" you act likes it a crime or illegal or something :P Its perfectly legal and fun as hell, eesh its a game, killing people is this games point, if we couldnt kill people it wouldnt be fun. Now imagine how much fun killing ONE person is. try TEN youd be sexing yourself.

Well, as for levs & repels topic, rockets are a perfect replacement.
When fighting in spawn area solo, levs are usually outnumbered, all rep does in that case is give 3-4 useless seconds of life. Rocket, on the other hand, gives lev a chance to break free and/or counterattack. As for a lev mounted on LT, it's not right - repel capability is anyway forte of a shark, and if LT wants to repel it needs to recruit an additional ship now.

Regarding safezones - TW's pub arena has now 5 of them...perfect for greening levs for LT's, and sometimes used for cloaks to hide from chasing terrs =), but not useful for much else. IMHO, they should leave only one - lower safezone, with safety time limited only to ?buy, not provide actual haven for pub's wusses.

i didn't read everything so don't scold me if someone has already said it... but if everyone wants to get rid of the lev terrs... why not just remove the safeties or make'em harder to get to. I don't really see a purpose for it other than rare occurances such as someone trying to save their high bounty, go afk (which they could do in spec), or wait to be greened (which levi's do). no safeties means levs can't green safely which will be very hard to do. very.

or just have the spider spawn with an anti-warp striaght off the bat. yah.

lol, just one problem, the newbies are in spawn. And wth is this thing against newbies anyway? You were leet the day you born? Now my comments...
I agree with big, it doesn't help killing levterrs much. Only helps spawning levs a bit. The reps were never the way lts stayed alive it was the terr and the warp. And now the lev can do detach + warp 2 times instead of rep.

Then about greening... I did a lil field test, 3 out of 3 times (without using safes i mind you, magi) I managed to green to 20 pretty quickly. Lucky? Maybe, but it was way too easy.

The most desperate levs are the levs that are most annoying, and now you people give them a good way to reach the safe in short time where they can buy the bty or wait for the levterr to come green him by dying voluntarily.

You don't have to worry about the crazy amount of levs you see now, it's just because the thing is new and everyone wants to try, it'll settle after few days but as someone said, settings make playing lev more fun, meaning more levs. Some people play jav just for the rocket or terr for the burst, and now lev has two rockets with a bomb that can easily kill 3 ppl in hands of any player.

And then advice, test the settings for few days before forming your complete oppinion, I know lots of people have been commenting without even testing the settings. I mean 20 posts of "don't fuck with the terr, give the port back" before ari told that it actually was never removed, and changed back to original pretty quickly. (and few posts even after that )

give the lev the repels back

remove the rockets

switch the power of a levi bomb into a %-damage (if thats possible 50% damage or something)

and give it a 5 sec EMP with it or 3 sec or something


this way the lev wont kill or teamkill, therefore no fun as a levterr


but it might be a very valuable addition in pub base
