One thing i would really like to see our new moderator create is a sub-forum for appeals and ban threads. Post your appeal and ban threads here and no where else. Staff can look at the thread and take the public sentiment into consideration, or not, I really don't care. These threads are the most interesting and engaging topics that pertain to TW for me, and we should have a forum to talk about it. If something interests us we should be able to talk about it and that's all the reason we need; it's the only reason we're here.

i imagine "security reasons" refers to someone who might be flagged for past transgressions, and because of past behavior, there's a risk they might go apeshit and fuck up the forum database. i.e. - deleting a whole sub-forum or wiping out half of the registered accounts. things like that.

I have slowly restored some of the BWC threads... I have more to do... Should be fixed by the end of the day. All were soft-deleted thankfully.

Ban appeals are good when they come to ban email, this means that i can check them with patience and without any kind of spam that some of you guys would do. It also means that when they come to email, i get to read them fast when im in my computer. I check forums maybe 3 times in a week or so.

the email should still be the primary way to contact staff, but a thread to air your displeasure is fine. if you were banned for being a jerkoff, it will be funny to watch the forum laugh at you. such things as teamkilling and racism. if you were banned for cheating, what is a person really going to say that will matter? if you were banned and it really was a bad decision on the mod's part, that is also fine to discuss. everyone makes mistakes, its stupid to sweep them under a rug though. the mod doesnt have to come into the thread to comment. that is their choice. it should be the banee's choice to yell abotu it on forums. 9 times out of 10 it will make the person that was banned look like a dickhead anyways. who cares then?

they should be emailed for the official appeal, but it's fun for us to talk about them too, so just don;t close the ban thread. ban threads don;t even need to be read by staff and they shouldn't affect decisions, it's all just so we can laugh and cry together
