This definitely is something we need to look at more. Levis in base have never been more willing to TK. The idea seems to be that if you can kill an enemy, a TK is no problem. Intentional TK is mostly what is both reported and acted on in the zone, such as when there are no enemies in base and a Jav makes a shot to TK.

But the first kind of TK by Levis is still intentional. They just don't care, so long as they get kills. They also don't receive any monetary penalty, as some on staff objected to this, so TKing half the team to kill 2 enemies is still profitable. And unlikely to be reported.

Excessive TK is, iirc, still illegal even if unintentional. Perhaps players need to be more willing to report this, and mods more willing to respond to it.

And Zeebu, Levi's have a hard time as it is going up to base and they rely on those gaps in the maps.

thats what i mean. just make it so bombing the flag room directly from the outside is not a viable way to get massive amounts of kills. nothing else would change about it, it just wouldnt be quite so disruptive to the people actually basing

is there any way to modify the map so levis just cant bomb the outside of the flagroom? or lessen it? put up another wall or something like that. levis can still do their own thing, it just wont be as detrimental to the flagroom itself. if they really want a big shot they have to come inside or get close.

Anyone have an opinion on where the ship balance currently stands? I'm sure the Levi haters still aren't loving that ship's L3 bombs, but is it tolerable? Are you finding there are enough tools to combat it and keep it competitive? The number of people playing Levis seems to have died down a bit lately; before it was probably artificially inflated a bit by people wanting to just try out the ship with L3 again. A lot of folks sending !comments have said/are still saying it's ruining basing, but at least recently, it seems as if they haven't been as big an issue, and I've observed quite a few successful basing matches going on. Maybe !deploy and Antiwarp are being used more frequently?

And the Weasel -- is it able to be useful without being too disruptive? I'm worried it may still be a bit underpowered. But it does seem to be getting some use.
I am enjoying having the small X back around.. even though I do not X myself, I would like to see it a bit stronger and more OP like it used to be! The L3 levi seems to be getting hunted more when LTing by means of anti and !deploy.. in fact i was hunted by means of anti several times tonight!! My vote is put the OP ass settings from ?go miniblind on the small X... and keep the levi as it is for good!!

Been a bit sick with the flu the last week so I haven't been keeping up on this as much as I should.

    Some recent tweaks to pub:
    • Weasel's spread increased somewhat. Should be a bit more useful.
    • Experimenting with slightly increased thrust to Weasel. Won't be moving any faster overall (in terms of top speed), but skilled players can use this to dodge better than before.
    • All items cheaper, across the board, particularly Antiwarp.
    • Antiwarp now drains less energy on Spider.
    • Stealth (only available via !buy) now drains less energy on Weasel.

Re: Terr XRadar, it does get tricky to monitor for X and also keep enough energy to survive a somewhat nearby L3 bomb. I know some Terrs make a habit of just clicking on XRadar once every 5 seconds or so, or flashing it a few times. Tends to make cloakers pop pretty well. Then leave it on if one is spotted, or just take note of its position on radar, notify the team, and hope it gets dealt with. There are many approaches.

The first use is free then 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, etc. pubbux for each use thereafter. Deploy count resets after each round.

The LT hunting freq 99 can deploy from anywhere in the arena, whereas anyone else must be inside base.

This will make for intense hunting and element of surprise, and possibly a new dimension to the basing game.

you can streak in LT anymore, bot warps you in beginning of round and you auto-lose streak, this dumbass red_x scrub doesn't seem to help when i sent ?help get some real staffers

Cloakers used to sit at openings in base and throw spread shots into base and empty out pub fairly quickly.
Same exact thing javs and levis do today. Just in a different ship. Still though they pick the same spot on the map.

That's two big weaknesses, plus both of those ships have a huge multifire coverage that will weaken x to the point of insta death or very low energy rendering them useless until they recharge.
So an x has no business in a busy flagroom. I've already experienced that painful fact myself.

As for the old small x and outside of ear campers shooting multifire to flagroom; the spread was so big there was no dodging those bullets. If you weren't going around the small bar at the very top of the flagroom, but instead from in front of the flag, those bullets hit you, as they covered the whole space from the bar to the cram bar. It was too big.
I do admit the multifire is very tiny now, but it was too big before.
I'm finding that interesting. For a baseterr to engage a cloaker in defense or to show the team where the cloaker is in the flagroom mess, they must fire a single bullet, which makes them as squishy as eachother to a blast or lvl 1-2 bullet and exposes the juiciest flagroom target. Even if the cloaker floats happily on roof waiting for a gap, the terr still suffers xradar penalties to keep an eye on it. Strangely that's making me curious as to the recharge rates on x/terr and xradar penalty but that's off topic.

I haven't really heard anyone talk about the cloaker multifire bullet spread at all, wonder howmany more people think it's too narrow now?
