I wouldn't be in favor of 4 spider max. The map change might be a less dramatic way to deal with this. You shouldn't limit the choice of a lineup. Opening the entrance alittle would make it harder and probably make more teams change philosophies. Also, 4 spiders will still allow for cramming so it wouldn't really accomplish your goal.

I agree with pl. You can still cram with 4 spiders, because it's not the spiders that are not the most important factor in cramming, sharks are. If you have bad sharks you're cram will be useless, they will mine in the wrong places, which could lead to a repped mine breaking your own cram.
Yes cramming with 4 spiders will not be as affective but if you get a jav or wb that plays with the cram it will be just as hard to break.Last edited by ShadowDragons; 08-27-2003, 05:51 AM.

Think about it. A lot. I think this solution is the most "fair". You're not limiting the number of spiders, or of any ship. Its vague enough that it still gives you a lot of manuverability in your line up without really restricting you. You can play 5 spiders if you really wanted to.

While I don't think 4 spider limit is a great idea, I'd still be up to see the rule in affect. We've won plenty of matches without puttin 5 spiders in.Mayo Inc. - We should change god's name to "Tod"... see if there's any followers. - Mattey

AHEM. If you limit to atleast 4 different ships, you are essentially limiting everyone to 4 spiders. 1 Terr, 2 Sharks, 4 Spiders, 1 wb/jav.. which is what you guys want, right? BUT, if you really want to, you can also 1 terr 1 shark 5 spider 1 wb/jav for a completely different game.

And no, it just puts more pressure on the other ships to pick up the 2nd sharks job... Like covering the terr in a fr battle. Only problem i can forsee with that line is breaking into fr. But, ya never know. Diso should try this some time and see how it works :P
