They tried an anti-spawn feature in TWBot a few times. From a player's point of view, everything worked fine, but I heard there were some problems "upstairs" with the feature.

Sure, I am a newbie, whatever you say. Too bad you have no real opinion on this matter and only insult. Is that your way to prove people your "elite"? Or are you just uneducated, a zero in real life, and take it out on people in a game? Even better, you judge people you don't know, call them a newbie, and just ignore the real issue here: spawn-killing.

I don't see why the same setup we have in ?go duel couldn't work in elim. But that's just me, and I'm silly!

It it's a safety period, why should you just wait there for 5 seconds, not moving? Just move away! Then dodge and kill him and say: ez n00b.

Sure, spawning is part of the game in all, but the game would be BETTER if there wasn't so much spawning. We all spawn, and get spawned back, and the ?go duel safety spawn is perfectly fine. I don't see why it wouldn't work in ?go elim, baseelim, twd, twj, or anything else.

The first 3 lines of elim, after the game starts goes like this:

omg! n00b! don't spawn!
spawn.
STOP SPAWNING.

That's about all you get outta elim. Wait, I think I forgot laggot, and then that's it.

People would stop bitchign about getting spawned, because if what Chewy suggests is implented it would be your own fault if you died after recharging all your energy.

And it really makes me sad that the only thing mods like Da1andonly (if I'm not mistaken, I think he was on staff too right?) or Archangell say: deal with it. Part of the game.

Again: IT ISN'T PART OF THE GAME. Something you can't dodge IS NOT part of the game. That's a weakness, a flaw or a bug in the game. FIX IT.

Now stop complaining that I tell you to do something about it... just GO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Because I definately won't be the last who complains about it.

Chewy, I am a zero in real life, thats why all I do is play this game. And spawnkilling is lame, i agree. Think about it though. Spawn them or they spawn you, its gonna happen either way. I apologize for insults its just i've had it with people whining about spawn killing. Go to search and type in Spawn Kill .. you'll get so many threads its rediculous. Just read back on them all. If you want to create a bot for something like in ?go duel then do it, don't talk about it, then suggest it to them. If they don't like it oh well. You're bound to get insulted by someone by posting a thread like this.

Yeah, that would possibly be a problem if they were invincible, because then they could wait by other ships and shoot them and soon as it wears off. The easiest way I could see to counteract this would be to make the invincibility last a short time, so they don't have time to get near other ships, but still have time to actually start moving, so they won't be easy to hit.

P.S. A poem: Just because it's part of the game, that doesn't mean it isn't lame.

For elim and baseelim, spawning is part of the game. Your SUPPOSE to eliminate people. If your going to try to inforce a no spawn rule, then what about no vulch or no team? Its part of the game.

For twdd and twjd, when you spawn, there is enough time to run away or at least shoot the guy that is spawning you. Sure, you get frustrated from 1-2 spawns, but if you managed to get 5-6 spawns in a twdd game...thats not the killer's fault...
