Well you put it straight: they are inactive.

It's cool that you have so much lover towards those old veterans, but just because they are in the old peoples home doesn't mean you have to save a spot for them. They just have to prove they can meet the requirements to play TWL.
Maybe something like this:

1:3litevet> shit, then we won't make TWL
1:elitevetsquadleader> hmm maybe we should go out and recruit people that actually play, beside those nicks that just look cool at our list.

Why should you have to play like 10 twd games a day to qualify for twl where you only play like once a week.. It's also harder for the "vet" squads to get games since all the milking squads refuses to fight..

Exactly. And that is what Digitale is doing. Let me put it to you guys like this...
A. We don't want to lose lots of points to lower rated squad that we know are extremely tough or better than we are.

B. We have been recruiting all those active players. Every single person on our list plays almost daily. Sure, they miss a day here and there, but they're fighting almost everyday, keeping up on things.

C. Like I said before, we HAVE played the better teams also. We have lost points to good squads. We have also beaten some tough squads too. Don't just diss us because you look at our list and think "I don't know any of them, must be newb."

D. It's hard for us to get TWDD matches, we have to hassle teams just like you guys do just to get a match.

Besides, just because some of you haven't seen us around, and think we're noob, doesn't mean we're horrible. We team well, and are decent/good players. I myself have been fighting for 4 years. And while I understand that doesn't qualify me for "vet" status, it sure as hell means I'm no newblet.

Btw Digitale you played sk8 fine, you won fine, but you can tell me wtf happened vs sk8 that match? You guys won that round 35 - 34... how that happen? It ended up running like shit ? No idea.. so I wouldnt count that one.

Technically the system fails if say you have 32 squads total and the top 16 squads only play each other and the bottom 16 squads only play each other. Then the overall top 16 will be comprised of roughly 8 from the "good squads" and 8 from the "bad squads". And that happens to an extent, but not really since almost certainly those bottom 8 of the top 16 would be able to get games against the top 8 from the bottom 16 and it would all then work out fine and that's pretty much how it works in twd over time.

No system is perfect but it's good enough. Frankly if Digitale is #1 or #2 by the end of twd then they're almost certainly better than enough squads to deserve at least a #16 spot in twl and that's really all they're playing for. I'm pretty confident the top 16 squads will get the spots they deserve. And if someone does manage to cheat their way in... we'll they'll get embarrassed in TWL and it will at least be amusing.

theres ours since the reset........ playing top teams..... all the losses were great games...tough battles, but we came out on the losing side.... oh well shit happens....

but squads above us on the ladder like avalonian and elenya and puma ect still refuse to play us........

so assuming we continue to have tough battles against top notch squads, and dont break through and win some... and lame assed squads just keep playing newbies... then TWL gets top squads from the top 20

has anyone entertained the idea of a strength of schedule number to add to a squads rating or even adding a certain amount of points for beating a current TWL squad(say something small but still helpful like 10 or 20 points). Just ideas, obviously would need alot of input and discussion .

For Christ's Sake, The System Is Fine. If Your Squad Can't Beat Digitale Or Gravest To Get Into The Top 16, Your Squad Sucks. The More People Complain, The More Effort Staff Is Going To Put Into Fixing Stuff, And The Longer It's Going To Take To Start Twl.

Who even gives a shit? There will be 16 teams in each league, and if someone sucks enough that they let squads that only play newbies take their spot, then they probably didn't belong in the TWL in the first place.

Don't pay attention to their rank on the TWD ladder. When TWL starts, there will be no difference between #1 rank and #16 rank. (I don't know how many returning squads there are).
