    You do know that the arena settings can be changed, right?

    The brick could be 1 to 3 tiles long, and last for half a second or less -- or just 0.1 second so it could be enough to warp someone. :fear:

    i totaly agree with vati there and thats what i meant by added tactics, forcing sharks to waste reps etc or pay attention to mines thus distracting them.

    but brick what the hell ? that would have a very big impact, if you guys want to try brick etc instead of messing with shark fix some of the broken ships.

    revamp the lev into a proper ship instead of a stupid overpowered lame ship that bum chums use to destroy everything from a vast distance in pub before porting at any dot on the radar ...


    make it into a shark alternative, there is plenty of ideas that could be played with,
    brick
    more health than a wb can kill (tanking wb bullets would be good strat vs laggy wbs that you cant even rep without repping before they shoot :/)
    less reps than shark 1 or 2 or like start with 1 rep but can green up too 3 etc
    less speed than shark but obviously more than current lev
    one brick
    a single l2 mine
    zero momentum spid bullets or even lanc
    etc etc .better ideas instead of me just listing some ones off the top of my head... never a good idea ><

    you could integrate it one lev one shark or normal 2 sharks then not allowed a lev etc see how it goes


    course this would never be tried as this i've allready stepped over 2 TW blasphemies :/ fixing the lev and any ship not being able to be killed by wb in 1 shot ( i like the 1 shot philosophy with wb but in basing terms a laggy wb really can punture through reps to a ridiculous degree )

    i'd put more thought into it if i thought it even had a chance at being implemented

    I do not lay mines hoping to shrap players, I lay mines in order to force the opposing shark to rep once to clear it, and twice to keep his terr safe from shrap. Then he only has 1 rep to come at my team with. If you remove shrap, or make it more dodgeable, you are only making the game easier on spiders and terrs, which means they can just sit still and not worry about sharks attacking them at all, and I got nothing to do. I would be open to sharks being able to green a brick. If you ask a team of 8 players, who wants to shark?, usually everyone goes afk til it says gogogo. If a ship is this boring, there may be a problem. Time to add something to the ship, the thought of taking something away depresses me.

    If you say getting hit by shrap is 99% luck, you are not aware of how sharks can increase their odds of shrapping with well timed and placed mines, and you are unable to realize that a mine is about to get repped into a wall and you had better hide at that particular moment in time, or hope your shark knows how to double rep. Yes, double repping is necessary and it works. If you get a certain distance away from the mine you can rep it into a wall and catch the shrap in the same rep, but this sort of thing takes time and practice.

    shrapnel is definitely annoying as a terr, but like everyone else has said shark is incredibly boring and removing shrap would dull it down even more. the randomness is part of what makes the shark able to get kills, so maybe instead of making them fly in a set pattern, just reduce the speed a slight bit. i don't think the sharks should have bullets or bombs with extra speed, but the brick idea is somewhat appealing. adding a brick like the weasel from pub gets could be a good idea. it can in a way act as an extra rep if a shark saves it for right before his death and places it to block the enemies and their bullets. also, it could warp players, including the terr out of fr. warping the terr out of fr would would nice because one team will get a chance to claim fr as the other terr flies back to base, but if he has a portal laid, he can port back in the base, having his turn to trick the other team back. however...i wonder if having bricks would make it too hard to break cram? whether the brick is 1 or 3 tiles long it can still block the entrance of the base...and with two sharks having bricks the cram might be almost impossible to break. a possible solution to this problem is to set intialbrick to 0, maximumbrick to 1, and slight increase the prizeweight of brick, thus making the shark spawn with it just on occassion.

    my thoughts in short...
    -reduce speed SLIGHTLY on shark shrap, but keep it random.
    -make brick greenable (not default) for shark.

    I don't play as shark, but it does seem sort of stagnant. The idea of a brick really appeals to me too, would be fun to be able to try it.

    i like the idea of a brick.

    you could use it offensively to either try to warp enemies or pin them down.

    you could use it defensively (obviously) to give your team some temporary extra cover.

    crams would get pretty interesting as well.

    brick ftw!

    If you take away shrap, then I want a brick, a thor, a portal and prox.

    And like eph said, I usually dont mine in FR unless I have shrap
