Yeah basing is really slow, I can finish an entire dd match before you even finish adding the lineups in a basing match. A chess match? You fucking kidding me, most of the other warbirds I play are literally retarded, its more like Chutes and Ladders, I climb up to 15-5 and they chute down to 5-10. Basing is like stratego and shit, gotta wait till the pieces are in the right place and go around the fucking lakes and shit.

are you out of your mind? wb and jav is literally like a stand off match between who can aim the best and dodge the best. basing is all about being spontaneous and catching the other team off guard, while also depending on skills like dodging and aiming. the chances of you being serious right now are very high cus you are a wb, so i'm not going to stop arguing because of the fact you may just be a troll, because if you actually mean what you say it's worth it to tell you how dumb you are.

it's one thing if your sense of perception simplex, but don't make claims like basing is slow paced because you're too stupid to understand its complex dynamic. why do you think the Trauma+ players started basing and not wb/javving? EG is a super fast paced zone, they picked basing cus its the closest (not that its anything like EG) in intensity to EG flagging, and their skills from that environment could transfer over. theres a dueling league in EG, but did you see them start try to wb/javving? no, cus its probably boring as shit to them compared to EG dueling which is also faster paced due to their ship sets.

stop being a moron, ?go twbd for once and watch a few games, hell, join a basing squad and try it before you start judging it. i made judgments about wb/jav being boring when i didn't play them, but only once i tried them understood what makes them fun. it's definitely not faster paced and more exciting though, not by a long shot.

Mainly I just give base a hard time because I like to troll people on the forums but I actually think its pretty fun sometimes, not my favorite league but I see its appeal to some people. I mean shit I originally left public arenas to base in #myth and go recruited into a squad from there. Honestly I don't think that the main problem is that ?go base got ruined or a twd roster cap I think its just there aren't enough people being recruited from the pub to join and play leagues because nobody wants to spend the time to train them, a LOT of the pubbers we have now don't want to play leagues they want to stay pubbers, and the new players we are getting are for the most part.. retarded and most people don't want to recruit them to a squad and have them acting retarded on their chats.

1. I still think twice a week on Tuesday/Thursday (Twice a day morning/night) staff should host a manual basing event in the public arena and invite people from other zones to play, offer big prizes to everyone who plays in the form of pub money for the winning team, pub money for the best terr, pub money for the best sharks, etc etc etc. It will show some pubbers that sometimes league events can be fun, and it will bring hopefully good basers into the same arena as people who might possibly be the next generation of basers.

2. Allow squads (for a five dollar donation a month or something like that) have Local chats so that they can kick people off who are being morons and douchebags, it doesn't give anyone a huge advantage, and it solves the problem of having dipshits infiltrating your chats. Also it raises a few bucks for TWBR, its a win/win.

3. Offer pub money signing bonus's for new (unique ip/macid) players who register for twd, and enact a signing bonus for joining a basing squad, I wouldn't normally be ok with leaving javs/birds out of this but its obvious which league needs the most help. I mean shit even if 100 people sign up for twd just to get the free pub money, and 50 of them join squads for the pub money, and even 20 of them actually decide to stay in the league its totally worth it.

4. Connect ?go base with pub, where ?go base offers 2x pub money per kill/mvp etc so that new people who want a chance to make some extra quick pub money can go try ?go base and see if they can get some extra cash. Maybe they will like it more than public arenas.

I thought for sure ?go base would be rekindled after the reintroduction of lev to pub an no more pure_pub but it just hasn't caught on, I still get complaints about no pure_pub from time to time, but im not sure if there just new people that dont want to leave pub because of the conversation or dont want to type ?go base, maybe we should do some kinda push for hosting ?go base an introducing pub people to it. Thats probably a really good first step for recruiting people into squads. I do like some of these ideas you have.

I know for me personally, no ?go base is keeping me from basing. I tried getting back into sharking for last season, god knows sk8 needed it. But with no ?go base and the few sporadic bd's there just isn't enough chance to seriously attempt to get back on a competitive level.

now to be honest, i have never understood why some players (majority of the players, actually) limit themselves to play only one league or division. that is in my opinion extremely boring and repetitive, hence we should encourage squads to compete in multiple leagues rather than focusing on a single division.

i will probably never join a squad that only plays two leagues. i enjoy basing, warbird and javelin equally much (albeit basing is my current favorite) and wish others would start playing multiple ships on a regular basis as well.

I've tried to host ?go base a few times the past week and sure I got it running for a few games but no people actually came there? I saw vati and thix in twbd talking about how base should be more hosted but they never came when i hosted it?

Hell i'm happy if we get it running a few rounds per day (sad enough) but if some staffers actually could step up and host it, it doesn't take a lot of time OR effort.

I'd be happy to try and get new pubbers on Diso and try to train them up, but the fact is, IF you do add a TWD Roster Cap I won't recruit them. I just don't have room, sure I could axe a lot of old disos that only get on once a month but for what?
I'd be more than happy if we could have some kind of trainee squad? I know it's has been talk of this before and nothing new has happened, maybe there aren't enoguh newbies /pubbers so that it could create a few active trainee squads but tbh any trainee squad would be fine. If I could be cap on 2 rosters on the same time I'd love to cap for the pubbers too.
I don't know how all this would work theoretically but I like the idea.

the guy has a point. one way to remedy this is for every squad expand to more leagues. for example: penetrate and pandora last season. Recruit some warbirds who are slightly interested in basing and add them to basing. give them PLAYINGTIME in bd's (since base is dead). and tell them to build a bridge and walk over it if they start bitching about 'this league is better than this'.

pretty sure pandora did this last season (mythril who got good) other wbs played too

I rather be stacked in quality with lets say 7 spids, than count 15 twl spids on pandora's and pene's roster last season. Now that is stacked. I would of been happy last season if you guys kept your best players but atleast would of axed those who are just benching and speccing in twl games

i think we actually ended up using every single one of our twl spiders due to lag from others. having as many twl spiders as we did actually saved us even in finals even though we still lost. may have had 3-4 twl spiders in spec, but they definitely came in handy and helped us throughout the season
