ya but portal has had around a 30 man roster and we've played lots of bds. The trick is not have your whole squad be inactive and useless (Pandora's roster this season). If you get people who actually play with a mix of people who play less you'll still have enough to get games at most times.

pandora tried this, we went down to 30 members, we were able to play about 2 bds in 6 months

basing squads will get hit the hardest, they will not have enough players, players will whine at caps to recruit more but they won't be able to, and you will reach the point where captains throw their hands up in the air and say fuck it and stop trying. i've been pushing for limits for years, but now that the player base is in decline it seems to be to be a very bad idea.

there are too many players who play so seldom that you do not want to push them away from the game with any regulations. losing players through boredom is unavoidable, but you will find players to be much more bored if they don't have enough to play when they come on, and you will lose players to frustration and staff rage if you force limits upon them.

It is a good idea to do this.... Why not try it? Why are all you guys screaming it's going to make people quit? If those people barely play they wouldn't play TWL anyways and that is why this rule is being put into place... To force people to make more squads for more TWL competition. As for thix and some people saying 'Oh make it 40-45'.... even if Pred made it 40 you would be whining that its not 45 and so on. Just stfu and play.

Its a terrible terribly idea for squads like Paladen. Or any squad that has a lot of old (somewhat inactive) players that need a big base to be able to muster enough people to twdd.

You'll still have the same amount of twdd's etc. because of the squads that will be created extra will be remedied by the loss of squads like Paladen.
