PL its just like in football, the ref is always right, if the call is wrong, wich can happen, the ref is always right. And its quit obvious that when a terr doesnt move, or going to roof, or side that they are hiding.

you don't want the decision to be left up to a host if a team is hiding at the end because the decision is not an easy one to make in most cases. The negative to the idea of a team holding the base for a certain number of minutes is that there is no value in killing people. People seem to like the idea of getting kills and scoring more points for a team.

Exactly Gall, U can see when a terr is hidding and refusing to take base, even if the spiders aer "attacking". Just be strict about it. And competative squads who plan on making playoffs all wont stop fighting till the end. The tie breakers are done by +/- point differential (unless changed) So they got insentive to get back in base and get them points back, EVEN if they know they'll lose. And geek is rite also, if u have 2 good teams goin at it with lots of flag changes, it could take longer then the 30 minutes to get that amount. And whoever said to

those are things not needed in the matchbot, it seems that is is goin to take long enuff making the matchbots now w/o these up and sudden ideas that arent needed. We keep making changes in TWLB and TWL wont start till Next fall. I was all on ur guys side for making new matchbots and making it all sturdy and shit, but now ur just pushing it w/ useless crap. Fix the thigns that NEED to be fixed and get it on the road.

I never heard anyone whine about the system of 20 or 30 min matches, and if a team hides, they lose. Thats the rule, just be strict, if you see the terr hide, the team loses. I like it better just a specific time, and most points wins.

if you are worried about teams hiding, maybe you could think about giving a bonus to the team that holds the flag at the end of the game? just an idea

Too many changes

Why are there SO many ideas aobut changes all of a sudden?

It seems like there has been so many suggestions for changes lately.

Some small change over time is good...too much at once is bad.

The only other thing I can think of would be to make a separate league, or a separate division for this point-race basing. Which also opens up other aspects for other leagues. For instance, TWLD games could be played for points for a set amount of time (like the current basing).

I thought about that but I bet that would kill both leagues b/c there wouldn't be enough people to run both.

Maybe we can impliment some of these as suggested in new arenas and see how they fly. Too much change is bad, some some change is good to keep the game fresh.

Apt, I don't think points race shouldn't take away any competitiveness (is that a word?). Even if the time isn't against you, the other team is still charging towards the point target. What's good though is you're never "too far behind" where you can't catch up and people start giving up. And you can't win by hiding.

I love points race, I think it's better. But I think agree with Cig Smoke about not putting it into TWD/TWL. A 30 minute game is long enough, with the possibility of an even longer game seems too much. Maybe for TWL where you know when the matches are but how are people going to have enough on for TWD matches that could possibly go for 40 minutes? I'll never get to eat dinner, people.

Yeah I like the point race and the Flag hold idea as well. The thing I hate about BD's is feeling rushed when it's less than 10 mins and the opposing team has a 20k+ lead on you.

Now with the points race you can try a few things , maybe send a jav to roof , have some fun. Instead of feeling the pressure of time baring down on you.
