I like timerace over pointrace, but would prefer the old system over both of them. But I can see how they want to try something different too.

This statement just contradicts itself. Let me show you why. Regular is the same as point race. Its just an illusion that it looks different. Why do people keep insisting regular is different.

I'm going to claim, regular is a point race to 125k. That is the first team in regular to reach 125k wins. Prove me wrong.

It is different because time varies and therefore stats. It is easier to gauge how you do each game as opposed to point/time race.

Yep i agree on this. Its just so hard to tell how well a person does in these other games bc they are shorter. Im a stats guy and i like stats, but i guess that doesnt really matter come TWL. Toady i played TWBD vs diso and it was time race and it was a very exciting game, bc of the time race, although Point race would of been basicaly the same thing as this time race. I dont really care nemore which system we use. This is annoying to keep takling about something and it dont matter what we say really.

You can still compare points pretty well, because you won't get more than maybe a couple thousand points without flag per game.

I know that, but u dont win by having more points, u win by having more flag time. Like i said b4, i know u'll have more points by having flag more, but its still messed up and different bc of how its done. Im not for or against any form of it, sure i like the old records, and having stats and i was looking forward to who could break 200 and by how much, but seeing that wont happen its not worth mentioning. I'll play any style as long as ppl think its the best one. We didnt vote on time race, we voted on Point race or Regular game, point race won. Not Timed race, regardless of if its better or not.

Desp your number of points you get is much different from a game that lasts 30 min or 15 min.. Besides wich the games all having different times its hard to compare.. Often In base I have this feeling I sucked, I am like 65-37 or so.. and I am damn.. I sucked.. then I notice.. wait the game only lasted for about 11 min..

I'm not trying to compare timed game and point race points. I'm just trying to get you guys to understand that you can compare points in a point race pretty well because you keep the flag the same amount of time in every game. And you won't get many points without the flag.

You know something that is a great way of standardizing stats. I'll have to think about that. Not points/min per say but others like kills/min etc.

Today A-s was beating RB in a BD while having less points. SO it isnt really exactly the same, u can have a team w/ less poings winning if its a close game. Especialy if 1 team lines like A-s was, and 1 team Cram like RB was. I dunno who won or who had more points at the end, but midway through i do know a-s was ahead by alot flag time but not ahead in points.

I was more thinking of individual stats. You can always see how much the whole squad dominated by checking flag time in flag race. But you're right that individual points will also differ if you play a strategy that few others use (like A-S), but that also happened before. People that were lining last season didn't get as many kills/points as people cramming simply because you kill more when you cram. And most squads use cram anyway.

So my argument still stands.

Yes, but last season and every season b4 that games were won by the team with the most POINTS. Thats why everyone started to cram last season when it was invented. Bc u simply cant get as many points with lining, plus its ezily broke nowdays. Point is Teams are only lining now bc they dont need all the points they had b4. A simple jav bomb timed rite can make em lose base with cram, although i think its still the best way to defend, i saw both diso and when we played pallies yesterday using LIning technique vs us. Maybe as a test since it dont matter if they win, but point is, games arent won by most points anymore even if it does result in team having the flag longer.

You just pointed out another good thing about time race. Now people will start using and inventing new (or old) kind of strategys, and we will see more variety in the games than before.
