Shriek and New Squad Invites

Anyway, merce used to be h4][3llsriker(@#4 and played lasertag. He is obviously 15, and shriek is obviously too stupid to see that hes stupid. Alls well ends well.

Good job you lost against Melee, and there isn't a team worse than melee in the leagues. At this point, it REALLY doesn't matter who joins TWLB, because there's nobody that compete against squads like Mambo, Spastic, and Pallies. Shriek could have given ALL a run for their money, and now that they're out, I'm really sad, even IF they were in Incuria's conference.

I just hope that a couple of basing Shriekers can join Defiancy to give them a boost and have them compete at least a little bit :/

I never said Defiancy is going to run into TWLB and steal the flag with the red ship and the green and grey ships will create the cram and win every game. Im just saying when it comes to Ava running their mouths about being better then us, and they havnt even gotten 10 mins of flag time on us, i dont think they can talk too far. Melee beat us, so? we also beat Rejected Basers...1 game dosnt show everything, things can go wrong (im sure rejected basers will come on and flame this too, so before it goes to far i bet they can get a win on us again)

for instance, RB lost to shriek. they also happen to be in close competition with spastic for a playoff spot. spastic has yet to play shriek.. so it would help RB a lot if spastic were to lose to shriek. however, now spastic will be handed a 15:00 - 00:03 win over defiancy. life for RB just got a lot tougher, especially if the playoffs will be four teams from each conference. shriek isnt even in RB's conference.

well good point paul..but twbd's dont mean anything. Now we will learn what melee does and we'll avoid those problems. like i said, we are a team, we'll stick to the defeat/win if what it comes out with. we learn from our matches, and besides, our squad has been together for a month, and we've trained hard. So WE will give a good fight.

actually they played us with 8 last night and have been very active....

its a moot point because its the same rules as last season, the team in 1st in twd at the time of offering is the team that gets in..... its not defiancys problem u havent bothered to play twbd's lately

on a note: last season cripples had issues, and lost half their roster after the lock, and they were not allowed to recruit anyone in to replace, so by that precedent, sad to say.... no one will probably be allowed to join as valid twl players

This season we have to take the squad with the most TWBD points, because that was specified in the rules.

I suggest for next season we implement a voting system. For example in this situation each TWLB squad could pick a TWBD squad they would like to see have the spot. The results are added up and the winner gets the spot. If there's a draw between 2 squads they can base for it.

maybe another would be to implement a mid-week playoff between the top 2 teams or top 3 teams, where team 1 gets a bye for being in first, and 2 and 3 play, and then the winners play....

I'm stating facts boys, not opinions... call me a jackass if you'd like, it makes you less of a person. No one will disagree that Shriek was a better contender than Defiancy will ever be this season, basicaly because Shriek was a lot more consistant. So you beat teams like RB? You said it yourselves, BDs mean nothing, but I can tell you, they DO determine how you play. If you've played less than 20 games with 8, I can tell you right now that you're not ready for TWLB. Good luck in TWLB, but the fact still remains that Shriek would have made this season a lot more fun and exciting than you will.

Ya thats what i meant heaven :P they got the will and the talent to be pretty good basers. Everyone starts off somewhere, and if these guys keep there ppl and together they hav ea bright future. They mite not do well the rest of th eseason (4 weeks) but it will help them for next year. Like paul said, no matter WHO is in as a replacement squad they wont do much winning. Except for GV who are good basers but seem to have stop trying for it this year. SO i see no problem in giving defiancy the spot to try to improve.

If that was the case squads with the hugest rosters will vote on who gets into the playoffs, and if the system is implemented no new squads that are underdogs will get into TWL. Just look at BasingCrew, no one thought they would go anywhere and they got into TWL.

Actually, people did, because quite frankly there were quite a few open spots, they were active, and had been playing more than you guys, especially in ?go base. Some of them had been on other active and established basing squads as well.
