so what? im sure you thought it was bullshit and so did everyone else on your squad. just because you didnt say anything about it on the forums does not mean that you are some amazingly impartial squad that is immune to bias.

to be honest with you, i didn't think my squad would be a top 5 in our conference. i predicted tanked to be ahead of us, pirates to be a top contender, and blablabla i don't remember and don't care.
javs is a hobbey, while i like the fact we are on the verge of making the playoffs, i would not lose sleep over not making it.
i can tell you the scores of the games that eliminated my warbird team from twld last season, i can't even remember who beat us in javs.
i think there are worse problems in twl than changing the tiebreaker from +/- to anything else. and i think that if your squad were not on the outside looking in that you wouldn't give a shit.
why would i be biased towards my squad? right or wrong the rules are on our side this time. the only thing i am against is changing the rules for this season, and you yourself have said that is not what you are trying to do.
i am all for change, but i'd prefer to see twl ops who know what javelins and warbirds are and a 4 spid max instead of a random tiebreaker that suited rapid this past season.
first of all, i insult you because i have a low tolerance for ignorance and idiocy. sorry, what can i do? secondly, 80% of your post has no bearing whatsoever on the topic at hand. i dont care if you like javs or not. i dont care about your scores from last season. i dont care about your predictions for this season. once again you have to bring up "changing the rules this season" for no apparent reason, since it is already crystal clear that we are discussing this for next season. i'll say it again. it is already crystal clear that we are discussing this for next season. i'll say it one more time, for idiots like awesome. it is crystal clear that we are discussing this for next season. and you are rihgt, if rapid were not getting jewed over cus of this mis-rule, i wouldnt give a shit. i'd be just like you, ignoring the facts and irrefutable evidence, trying to save face. last of all, this is not some "random tiebreaker". this will happen in years to come, and i can say with confidence that the rules will be changed for next season and seasons to come, because im certain that the TWL Ops, with any hint of common sense, will choose head to head tiebreakers over +/-, (or waht i like to call "forfeit win" tiebreakers, where the team with the most forfeit wins gets in the playoffs).
Gretzky never had any "flashy moments", just records of top goals and top points in the season and in playoffs. So I.E., thats a lot of games put into consideration.
Also Nemo, why are you saying you are correct and that nothing beats Head to Head, and that everyone should literally be crawling on their hands and knees begging for forgiveness, simply because they have posted their side of the argument? People in this game could very well say "I don't like Head to Head, despite reading Nemo's excellent points". Everytime someone seems to reply with a similar comment, you or your fellow Rapid members immediately get on their horses to instantly regurgitate reasons as to why its bad. Unfortunately you seem to misunderstand, if you've noticed some of the rule changes for TWLB, there were at least 3 different polls asking for people's opinions of the matter.
There will be a vote, and since +/- has been used for the last couple seasons, it'll be a difficult one to change unless the majority of people in TW do want Head-to-Head, and that the TWL-Ops find the change necessary. So go ahead and impress people with your ideas, facts, and what have you not, but you certainly cannot tell people that they are WRONG.

you call me biased and insult me when i say i am not because i have no reason to be. then you get mad that i make you repeat yourself that this is not about this season. then you call me biased because of where my squad stands this season. then i say i am not, then you get mad that i make you repeat yourself, then you call me biased. . .
then you say that i have made an intelligible post, while insulting me in the same thread, and then you say you insult me because i am being ignorant and idiotic.
the title of this thread aside, you need to figure out what you are saying, you can't sit on both sides of the fence.
i think that it would be more worthwhile to bring this issue up when people are focussing on next twl. playoffs are about to start and the twl ops are occupied. further, any major changes that will be implemented may have a bearing on such an issue. ie, 16 squads, all 16 make the playoffs.
wait for next season before you start your crusade.

I don't know if this is a compliment or what. Essentially, you're saying that people respond with dumbass posts, and we come back and spit the truth at them, with facts/evidence. Uhh so...what's your point, kim?
Gretzsky led the Oilers to 4 cups in 5 years and was 2 time playoff MVP. How can you tell me that he's not a big time player in big games? The playoffs are all about do or die, and he proved himself worthy.
And Kim, I havent just TOLD people that they are wrong, i've SHOWED them that they are wrong. Good fucking game. Until someone does that to me, here's a great big royal "fuck you", Kim. Enjoy.
nothing against what he did in the playoffs. but his 2800+ points were not just in the big games, nor in the playoffs.
i don't remember how this all applies to what we are talking about though.

Kim: sorry, that thing was intended for Rapid members, I know you play Syndicate
nemodot: Jordan, Gretzky, blablabla. They did good all the fucking time, not just in the big matches. IMHO THAT'S what they're known for.
Hey, Miku. Kevin Garnett does good all the time. Except the playoffs. Tracy McGrady does good all the time. Except the playoffs. Vince Carter does good all the time. Except the playoffs. Jason Kidd does good all the time. Except the playoffs. Years ago, Karl Malone did good all the time. Except the playoffs. Get my drift? Jordan, Gretzky, and Montana raise the level of their game. They show up big for big games.
And no dude, that's not what they're known for. Every great player has his defining moment. Jordan's is probably his famous shot over Craig Ehlo in the Conference Finals. Or it could very well be his game winner in game 6 vs Utah during the bulls' last run. If you don't have a defining moment where someone can say "oh, that's a Michael Jordan right there", then you're not a great player.
Please don't make me argue sports. I'll be here all day.
jordan's defining moment is his upper deck shot in batting practice for the white sox.
a close second is when bugs bunny pulled him down the golf hole.

You totally ignored the whole part of my post when I raised the point that you are actually attacking the player that posts a suggestion that is against yours, therefore it is WRONG in your opinion.
Therefore this is FLAMING, therefore something will get moved unless you stop FLAMING. There shouldn't be stuff like this in the TWL forum.

what i do not like about the head to head system is that placing so much emphasis on one game that you do not, at the time, know will be so important is a bit odd i think.
Kind of contradicting yourself there rand...
Sucks that the cap of the squad making playoffs over us unfairly in LJ doesn't even give a shit about LJ

cry me a river you little girl. if you cant handle a couple words from someone you don't even know online, then i'd hate to see what kind of chickenshit pussy you are in real life.

the two statements are different.
to the extreme, a squad will always play their top 5 so that the +/- is always the best they can get. this rarely happens, squads don't go overboard there.
in the head to head system, a loss against a conference opponent is big enough, it doesn't make sense to make a regular season game, for all intents and purposes, an elimination game.
ps. i will show up, and i will play to the best of my abilities if i play. i may not care about javs, but i care about winning.
