i think the roster limit should be 25 anyway. even a squad like venom that people say is sucking up talent in the league is fine with 23 players. no need for these fucking 38 member squads.

to have an active roster for bding you need a roster of at least 35 people (in order to bd at least once every few days). guess for dd and jd squads it is different.

true basing does need more. although i think thats only true for twbd not for twlb. i think with 25 a basing team in twl would be fine as long as they werent carrying a ton of half ass active players, syndicate made the playoffs and never forfeited or played short in twlb with only 20, and thats with people who dont even care much about basing. but maybe a squad with 25 would not be quite as active as they would want to be in twbd.

When you are recruiting that many people, you obviously aren't going to be picky about who you let in. . . Recruit people in similar time zones. You will always have enough people.

While I think there should be some kind of roster limit (dependant on how many leagues you are in), Claus, your system is flawed. Squads should not be penalized because of the fact their players aren't 1 leaguers. Put the max at 15, and for every league a squad is in, add 5 (ie. 3 league squads get a 15 player bonus while 1 league squads get a 5 player bonus).

If squads are going to have hard caps implemented though, they should be allowed to have TWD-only players. The guys who are not going to play TWL. . . Something along those lines.

I still don't think this will do anything about the fact that fewer people are going to be able to play next season.

The large rosters are a result of TWD. You need to have enough online to play games daily if you want to qualify for all three leagues. I think a squad could manage with less than 15 in the actual league. Take a look at the basing lineups for last TWLB and notice that everyone has a) 2 terrs, b) two sharkcouples, c) 2-3 standard spids and the last 2-3 spots are filled by people who play one or two games in the whole season.

ie Incuria: 17/26 players have 0 TWL games played. Of course we'd have a few people who have left but the actual figure would be that about 12-13 out of our lineup on 25-28 played in TWL.

I totally completely agree with that. My squad has 31 people, but I think thats alright because when im (in Canada) in school, there are at least 5-6 people in Europe and the mideast that are online playing games. Its pretty good because we're always in a mode of gameplay. Meh, 31 for an international squad like Laser is fine I guess. And if you can pull that off, all the more power to ya! But I agree with Escalate that 23-25 is the ideal number.

Being a parrot here, let me get this straight:

If a squad is in 1 league, no matter which it is, they get a TWL roster of 20.

Two leagues, 25. All three yields 30.

Would the league ops go along with this?

Instead of having squads with huge 40 people rosters, it'd be NICE to have more squads at about the same skill level.

The only problem is that it is dificult to have a smaller roster b.c not everyone is super active. So many squads need the huge rosters to be able to base. It is easier to field 4-5 for jd and dd. TWL is a little easier to have smaller rosters b.c of the set game times. But twd set up with pick up games, you need the big roster to play often.

It'd be interesting to have big brother step in and create new squads and place 16 active people together, making as many balanced squads as possible.
