this myth cheating incident happend after the ladder lock and before twl started. there is no rule in twd stated that if a captain is caught cheating with CE/hacks, the entire squad will be punished. HOWEVER, there is a rule that if a captain is caught double squadding, or evading a ban, that squad will be forced to dissolve.

bohemian's case, bosshawk was caught double squadding and feeding bohe in order for them to get into twl, thats an obviousl DQ.

and warks anti-staff post, myth is netbanned for god knows how long and perm banned tw. wat else do you want us to do? go to his house and beat the living shit out of him? call 911? nuke him? idiot. understand the situation before you go berserk and make another anti-staff-'oh im an old staffer and im so much better than the current staffer' post.

regarding cheating in twd matches during twl, when a player is banned from twd, hes also banned from twl. and most likely from tw depending how how he cheated.

Did I not just post (copied from twleagues.org) a rule that stated the opposite of what you are saying? It may not be in TWD rules, but the rule doesn't specify that it has to be during a TWL match either. It just says if a captain cheats to create an unfair advantage (period), squad=dead.

3.04 Any Squad Captain or Co-Captain found to be guilty of cheating to alter game play and to create an unfair advantage...

Secondly, my anti-staff sentiment comes from shit like that ^^^^^, And yes I am an old staffer and I am better. Besides I think we all know Mythril will be back in TW in tomorrow if he isn't today, dding again. So basically your opting for a punishment that you can't stick to somebody, instead of one that will ruin this players "tw career" for lack of a better phrase for life. Plenty of people will recruit Mythril back, but if he costed a TWL squad their spot they sure as fuck wouldn't. That and I guarantee grapevine would keep a closer watch with who they recruited in the future.

IVF got accused of cheating and got unbanned I believe after talking to Rudy, that and after watching him play on his computer I think I see why its possible to think that he does cheat, his Tinfo is horrid, but I also have been working on ways for him to make his computer more stable, like downloading anti-spyware/anti-virus programs, defragging his disk, running a disk check, deleting old and unused programs, and it seems like his lag is down quite a bit so. But for argument sake, lets say you did catch IVF cheating on our squad, hes not a captain, so no you wouldn't dissolve our squad. Furthermore, I would expect more out of a staff member then to bring up past rumors about a player that he has been cleared of by Rudy.

All in all the true question is, would you have worked around so many rules for a squad that people might not see fit for TWL? I hope you realize that by allowing this, you are making for much more allowances in TWL, and don't think people won't try to squeeze as much from them as possible. Look at the big picture for once, and see that you are wrong.

If GV was disqualified from TWL i doubt it would survive so thats not really relevant.

Look guys, Mythril was a great player and a great squad captain. He made a big mistake and is taking his punishment. End of story. You are all arguing just to argue. You all love drama way too much, feels like HS again. Lets move on and look forward to a great TWL season. You all keep saying "I dont like tha fact that GV shud be dissolved but it shud because of rules" thats complete bullshit, you would LOVE to see GV get banned from TWL so you all can start recruiting us to your squads. ivf unbanned my ass. he was never cleared. he served the entire length of his ban.

there is a big difference between DS and CE in terms of squads vs players. we obviously think cheating in ways of CE/hacking is far more serious than DS, thats why the 1st one gets banned/netbanned while the latter one just get banned from twd/twl. use your brain for a sec, which one is a more serious punishment, getting banned from the zone? or getting banned from an event of the zone. you need to use your brain more. but in terms of squads, its a different story. lets take use a country for an example. for a president of a country, which is offence is more serious.. the president used forbidden technology to make his country stronger, or the president serves under 2 country at the same time.

and on to myth, you might be right, that guy might really come back in tw tomorrow, but wont be with the name mythril. if he is caught evading his ban, he will jsut get banned again. you cant accuse staff for anything when someone evades a ban now can you? if you do, then you have a serious problem.

when you log on your staff name for once only god knows how long, you really dont have the right to accuse/blame staff for wat they do. cause quite frankly, you know jack shit about whats goin on in staff.

btw, you didnt answer my question. if any of your squadmate got cheating, can i accuse you of knowing it and dissolve your squad? not many people would go around in squad chat, yelling 'OK, GOIN TO USE CE THIS GAME, WATCH ME OWN'

I need to use my brain more, heh. Getting banned from this zone is a joke because its so easy to evade first off, so getting banned from TWL is a worse punishment. As for how much I logon my staff name, that really isn't your concern, and I know just about anything important that I need to know about "staff happenings". It isn't like I block off all contact from staff when im playing as Kthx, and why the personal attacks, this isn't about some flame war, so keep that nonsence elsewhere. I am merely stating my opinion based on how I see things unfolding in this game, and you can't really base me on that. I happen to feel that GV remaining in leagues is a tad biased, and that it will cause complications, and dissention towards this TWL for quite awhile. I did answer your question btw, why bring up a metaphorical argument that has no similarities to the conversation at hand? If lets say.. "genocides" got caught hacking, no the squad wouldn't be dissolved, If Izor did, then yes, obviously. If you think nobody else on the squad knew that Mythril was cheating than you obviously shouldn't be solving mysteries for staff.

If you have any sort of proof behind this rediculous accusation then I will be happy to personally deal with those people. If not, get a brain.

I am not happy about this situation. The first thing I asked staff when I found out was how it effected my squad. They said it would not. We did not make any attempt to coerce them or effect the decision.

As far as I know, the one game he cheated was the one game Mythril was caught in. Please stop making far-fetched accusations about it happening throughout the entirity of the TWL qualification or about how the entire squad knew about it.

Everybody bitches and moans about how TWL wasn't starting quick enough (due to systems being incorporated to catch people abusing cheats), and now they are all on the bandwagon that more needs to be done about it?

I haven't read through the rules and I left the decision up with staff. They informed me of their decision. I'm going to venture a guess that they know more about the TWL rules than the idiots in this thread screaming conspiracy theory.

Alot of people brag about their cheating adventures, it's like shooting a -7 in golf and not telling your friends about it. Im sure there is one, that we won't find out.

I never said you tried to coerce them, Im just saying that since alot of you are older players, that probaly played a large part in what they decided to do with this.

The problem isn't that we need more super cheat engine checking bots with magical powers and whatnot, it's what we end up doing to stop a player from cheating that lets the zone know it won't be tolerated, a ban isn't something seen as a problem anymore.

Any of these idiots can read the rules which are posted, so in all reality, if staff knows more rules that we don't they need to be posted.

Honestly, I don't want grapevine dissolved, you would just be replaced by some squad like... asianXpubsquad2323 and make TWL worse, I just wanted to know the reasoning about the lack of punishment is all. But the apology does make everything alot better, hearing the other captain apologize for what happened, and letting us know hes angry about it makes me feel better atleast, to know that you had to deal with alot because of this, perhaps lessons are learned. Meh.
