First squad to get kicked or dissolve?

I don't think there was much wrong with the decisions made, I just want everyone to know. What I think needs to be reformed are the sets of rules for TWL and TWD, because when it comes to a real situation such as this it is hard to know, even with rules in hand, the proper course of action. I would like to leave as little thinking as possible to staff at all costs. Most of the people in staff that I trust are no longer on it, so more specific and absolute rules would be great for my peace of mind. At least then if the rules aren't followed we'll know for a fact TW is about as cool as Mexico when it comes to politics instead of yelling "conspiracy" this and that.

Mythril totally disrespected his squaddies by cheating in a league match,
he wasn't just being curious, he was being a selfish dumbass.
Foreign, this wasn't the first time Mythril had been using CE, he was on TW's
banfree list because he's been banned from SSC for a year for memory
hacking. Mythril himself said in an earlier post that he had been cheating in
10% of his twbds. A perm ban from TW and almost a year long ban from SSC
is a punishment enough. And if these players do succeed in evading a ban
they always tell someone who they are, and staff will find out eventually
because we are many, and lot of people come telling us who is evading.

And what's funny is that Mythril actually convinced Rudy that he wouldn't
even be thinking about cheating in TW and got himself on banfree list. Rudy's
such a good hearted sucker sometimes.

I just gotta chuckle at the fellas saying they're surprised about Mythril cheating. The biggest surprise above all for me was when Mythril owned up to it, but still, cheating? loooool, come on dude, spaceships can't be that hard.

If you're a captain of your squad, you take responsibility. Does the squad take responsibility of the cap? Does a cap that's cheated get more punishment than a regular player that's done the same?

This place has more red tape than the United Nations. Cheaters CHOOSE to cheat, fucking ban them forever. At least try to dissuade people from turning to asscrack cheats like Mythril did before he got himself banned for a year.

Randedl and my squad knew what my situation was and I convinced them and myself that I wouldn't cheat again.. but when you feel like you can get away with something there's always going to be temptation. You're on crack if you think the only punishment I've gotten is a perm ban from tw. It's not a good feeling letting people down, and even though this is just a game I've never been more ashamed.

This really should be polled on, in TWD forum by the TWD ops on whether or not GV should be allowed to be in TWD after a captain was found cheating. After the overwhelming majority of people agree that squads with cheating captains have no business in TWD then they wont be eligible for TWL. Captains overall are chosen by a squad to reflect upon and lead that squad. Rand you knew Myth had been banned for cheating before, why the hell make him capt? Its sorta the same as if del or vys were cheating in a TWL game, but I took that risk when I accepted them on roster. I doubt it would happen but if it did everyone reading this post knows QS is out of TWL no questions asked. And they arent even captains.

Deciding and going through with the methods of cheating isnt an "oops!" slip up, it means someone was determined to exploit a cheat to glorify themselves in a meaningless game. Yeah I can read, you said you terred for 10% of the games. If you cheated 10% of the games, then maybe that extra 10% boosted you up. I don't know I don't pay attention to rankings nor do I really care about the situation. I like GV and I'd prefer they not get kicked out - I was just saying that Mythril quantifying his cheating doesn't help your case.

Rules should be as simple as possible.

- Imho, if you are caught cheating (in pub, twd, or twl) then you as the individual should get a 1 year ban + perm ban for twd and twl

- If you are a cap or asscap in twd and cheat, 1 year ban + perm ban for twd and twl ... pts won when you were playing subtracted ... if your team still qualifies for twl after the subtraction then they can still play twl
- If you are a cap or asscap in twl and cheat, 1 year ban + perm ban for twd and twl ... squad kicked out of twl.

To the ppl who say that the cheater will just get on a diff name ... you don't realize the desire for ppl to use certain names in twd and twl. If they are known for that name, a perm ban from twd and twl IS a big deal. They would basically hafta rebuild their reputation from a new name. It's not a quick and easy thing to do and ppl are attached to their names (esp twd and twl names). Plus I am sure staff can do the IP check thing to reinforce the perm ban from twd and twl.
