A final say on the separation of the leagues

Like hero said, I think this will cause alot of squadhopping. I can join a squad full of basers determined and focused on winning twlb for that portion of the league and then hop to whatever the best dueling squad is for the ld/lj portion of the league.

there would be a lot of squad hopping
at the beginning of each new season (say JD was happening) then there would be hardly any DD and BD going on because every squad is qualifying for JD. This would piss off 2/3s of the TWL community.

and since twl is the biggest event in trench wars people practice for it and get really excited when it comes. if twl is almost constantly running, it wont seem like as big of a deal

like what hero said.. tons of squadhopping will happen... and plus i'm SURE a LOT of people dont want to play SS for the WHOLE entire year.. well 3/4 of the year to be exact and be committed EVERY sunday for 3/4 year..

i agree with Cig's idea.. summer league sucks.. cause a LOT of people go on vacation and just dont show up for games.. not that the people on vacation DONT wanna play the game.. just that mayb the place they live have VERY laggy internet connection and wont even allow to meet the lag limit in TWL

I think scheduling problems trumps the so called summer league problem. I think bot dying trumps it as well. There really is no good reason you guys have to keep it 3 leagues at a time except complaining about how you'll hafta spend more time in TW.

Like I said before, there are many more pros and really no solid con that you guys can offer against it.

The scheduling problems we have arent do to having 3 leagues at once, its due to the method we use to get gametimes. Negotiating is nice if both squads actulay negotiate and take a chance at it, but when u got squads who dont even put a time up, or just simply wont budge thats when u get problems with scheduling. I'd rather we had a SET schedule made b4 the season (Staff picks times for every game like in DSB) then i see the 3 legaues split up.

Squadhopping? We're suggesting a split of TWLD/TWLJ and TWLB. Seriously ... I doubt many QSers are going to suddenly hop to Dice just so they can play TWLB. If there was a split of ALL 3 LEAGUES then you would have a much stronger argument for squadhopping, but the fact is most duelers stay in dueling and most basers stay in basing. There's no good reason why you would restrict someone who wants to play TWLD with QS, but since QS is not participating in TWLB, he or she joins Dice to play in TWLB. What's the problem with that? If you call that squadhopping then what's wrong with squadhopping?

I gave all my arguments in the other thread, so I don't care to rehash the pros and cons again. Regardless of what I say, I think the "vets" and "forum-vets" will get there way and this idea will be squashed. Ppl like Mantra simply saying "I don't want this" make a huge difference in swaying the decision even though they don't give much input into the actual arguement. (Yes Mantra I'm calling you out you swedish meatball)

And whether or not the scheduling probem was due to whatever reason you want to give, splitting leagues WILL give more scheduling flexibility and WILL PROBABLY reduce overall lag (anyone wanna play against another Max B in that one game?).

You guys think TW is boring now? Well it's probably partially boring BC TWL IS NOT LONGER ... it's hypocritical to say, "TW is boring ... we should have more TWL" ... and when an idea like this comes up to make TWL a longer event, you just dismiss it. TW is boring bc you guys make it boring.

Well it mite not concern dice as much bc w are a 3 league squad, i was using a2m as an example. But take someone like Jamal on spastic who is a good baser for spastic, but is also a good jav. Now he isnt the only one but thats a better example for u. Spastic dont play LJ, im not saying jamal would squadhop to play LJ, but there are some who would. There are quite a few good duelers/ javs who are on great basing squads.

As for the lag issue, i still dotn think it will affect anything. You'll still have the same amount of ppl online those days even if its to watch the games. Other then the max b thing there really hasnt been any lag issues, and who says his lag was caused by having to many games at once? Maybe he just had a spike or somthing.

As for the boring issue, sure it is boring bc ther isnt no TWL, but that has always been that way. We could do other things like add in more TWBD/JD/DD tournies durin the offseason like last year. That made it interesting. Again like i said above, for years us ppl been asking for winter leagues and we havent had it often, I think it wou ld be alot more fun when everyone's startesr can show for ther TWL games, and actualy play durin the week because its not summer time.

As for the scheduling thing. There are so many slots to put games per week its not even a problem. Besides we should limit the teams more this season down in all 3 leagues. That alone will give us a few more slots. Plus like i said above, if scheduling is such a big issue then just have the TWL ops make a set schedule b4 the year making each team play when they are suppose to, even if its on a saturday. That way there cant be any bitching about the negotations and all that BS. That would make squads have more depth.

Ppl have been giving good ideas such as this separation of leagues. You guys offer little ideas and yet still complain about TW being boring, lag in TWL, squadinstability, lack of scheduling slots, continued allowance of laggers and cheater. Either quit whining or start offering ideas. Mantra's comments of "I don't like this" don't offer anything positive to improving TW/TWL ... nor do Dwopp's whining about ppl who actually offer ideas to improve TWL.

Edit: Cig ... there are easy ways to avoid squadhopping. Just separate leagues and create a rules where if your team plays all 3 leagues you must play with them in all 3 leagues or only in some. So Cig, you wouldn't be able to play TWLD/J with Dice and then switch to Diso with TWLB. You would be forced to stay with a squad for the entire TWL season or just not play TWLB. 1 rule basically solves your "squadhopping ruins separation of league idea".
