A few TWL Ops (myself included) wanted to reduce the number of squads who auto-qualified, but since it was so close to TWL starting, we thought it would be right to do it next year. Since the squads have now been invited, the poll is up to see if any of our feelings are the same as the public's.

I agree with Fit's idea, it makes sense to have squads at least be active in the system. Yeah it's nice to be invited back and you dont have to try to qualify, but the whole point of TWL is competition. I dont want to see newly created squads fizzle out, but I dont like better squads sitting around doing nothing and then showing up for their time slot either. That doesnt promote TWL in my opinion.

I like semi-finalists being invited back, even finalists. If they truly are squads with longevity as some people said, then they can just as easily earn a spot like other squads do.

I'm having a hard time find any so-so squads from the semi's of any season Neth... just playing Devil's Advocate here, because I actually voted on the finalists as well.

I said semi-finalists. If -f- can make semis w/o playing...well it just proves that they are better than you even without practice. Limiting it to a 4 squad invite will increase competition and activity in TWD due to more squad slots open and less people with the opurtunity to just sit there and relax knowing they are in no matter what next season. If not, I guess i would be content with fit's idea.

If it were sooo close to twl why the fuck would u reduce the squads that get in this season? I understand you wanted to test things out, but i think you guys should have organized it better before you put it out to play. No need to rush things like this, i don't believe this is the last twl being played in Trench Wars or anything. SO why the rush to put something in play, if personally you don't give each squad a fair chance. There were way too many squads invited back for the cut.

What effort? Hardly practising and asa TWL starts steal some players and participate in TWL?
I do believe -f- should be in TWL thats not the point, but I think there is something wrong with the system. Maybe we shouldnt use TWD games anymore as qualification, but some pre-tournament, with playoffs, because the point system does not bring positive outcomes.

basically the only people that i have seen with a strong feeling towards the auto invited squads are the ones that didn't make twl. would i feel the same way? yes. but i realized the situation and made sure i wasn't put in it. again, when it was decided that the auto invite wouldnt change because nothing was really affected, we moved on to other, more important things.

actually i have seen plenty of posts from twl players that feel the same way. so its not oNLy people who didn't make twl.

I agree that there were too many squads invited back, as I've said before I would like semi-finalists or higher to be invited back, and thats what were trying to do next season. I think it would have been just as easy for the invited squads to earn a place in this TWL, but there are many who feel they should be honored for last TWL and lasting so long and suddenly reducing the amount of invitees after everyone was expecting to get in automatically would have been harsh. To each his own I guess.

stability shmability....if your squad plays 200 games and thinks you are the shit & -f- w/o practice whips ur ass and makes it to the semis, they more than deserve to be back in. Seriously it just proves how much better than you they are if they beat you w/o practice. SEMIS REINV 4 THE WIN

If you had read my previous posts, you would know that I didnt want to allow so many squads to be auto-invited either. and "anyone"? Everyone knows how it works, been that way for a while, so get used to it.
