I have to agree with this, despite the fact that I have nothing against you Knockers; you are a good fellow. There is not even enough good TWLD-competent squads to make a full 8 squad league atm

Whiskeyjack, along with another 3 or 4 squads would be perfectly fine competition in twl-d and the majority of the community knows it.

while whiskeyjack may not be twl quality at this point, there are at least 2 other squads in twld that ARE

10 squads can be done pretty easily, and competitively

there are no powerhouse squads anymore, everyone is probably more equal this season than any season ever before it

i highly doubt anyone fears any squad in twd or thinks of any of them as a syndicate type squad where theres no competition

make it 10 teams, because frankly twl needs it

and this is from a player that would and will make a twl squad whether its 10 teams 8 teams or hell even 5 teams, so you can't exactly use the same arguement on me as knockers, because im not bias toward any squads

TWLJ is the hardest and most competitive league and should be left to 8 .

There are a lot of squads attempting to qualify for TWLB, but I honestly think if you put all their TWL lineups on and had them fight each other, the bottom half will be mostly nonfactors. IMO 10 squad limit for TWLD is a good idea, but there simply isn't enough competition in TWLB to do the same. There are just a handful of squads which even play regular basing matches, compared with many, many squads which compete in TWLD.

I propose adopting a pyramid system similar to the one used in SSCU Chaos/League zone (Premier League.) Have 16 squads in each league. Have 10 rounds with match ups being 1v2, 3v4, 5v6, 7v8 etc.. ordered by amount of wins, then k/d in TWLD/TWLJ and amount of wins, then +/- time in TWLB and if still a tie then a coin flip. Squads won't play each other more than 2x during the 10 round season, instead the match ups will just jump past that team. Example: 5v6 would be a repeat consecutive rounds match up. The schedule would then be 1v2, 3v4, 5v7, 6v8, etc... At the end of 10 rounds, the top 8 play a single elimination tournament (best of 3 rounds) for the TWL championship, and the bottom 8 play a single elimination tournament (best of 3 rounds) in a "best of the rest playoffs." The best of the rest tournament will give squads incentive to keep playing instead of giving up and dropping out.

When a similar system was used in the last season in Chaos/League zone, out of 20 squads in the regular season, 16 had 4 or more wins (in 10 weeks) and only 3 had more than 6. 19 had at least 3 wins and the last place squad had 1 win. No squads dropped out after the first round (inactive squads which wouldn't qualify through a system like TWD) and only a couple no-shows occurred. Almost every squad had a chance to make the higher playoffs with a couple weeks remaining, adding drama and intense matches throughout the whole season.

In this system less squads will drop out because they are playing other squads near their level of ability. If squads do drop out, replacement squads would start at the bottom, so top squads won't have to play them.

This system is horrible at best.

Squad 1 lose games in the beginning and have a way easier schedule than squad 2 who win in the beginning. even if Squad 2 has a better roster Squad 1 will advance to playoffs.

Currently, in twld, there are hardly a handful of squads worthy enough to compete and that is Stray, Pirates, Solstice, Dice, and Thunder.

5...maybe Heavy, disoblige, and some other squad not worth mentioning...

fact is, we would love a better twl this season but we just dont have the squads or players to make one

Well if you wanted to make it better. What if squads had a 20 person member cap. Then have it were only 8 squads can make it. The probably with squads these days is you have 30/40 people on them. I'm sure no one will like it, but it'd make things interesting. If Thunder, Solstice, Dice, Stray were cut in half. Alone with a few more squads.
