Poll: Should TWL Round 2 start Jan. 3-4th?

how on earth is it squadcaptains fault if it's been informed that twl continues at 10th jan, and people have gone on vacation before this stupid nonsense poll. and btw ur second sequence of ur post didn't make any sense to me.

It's not just the captains fault, it's a failure of the squad in general. TWL squads should have an order, more than one person running it. If a squadcap goes away, there should be several people able to step up and hold the cap spot. They shouldn't even have to, simple communication between squaddies can be enough. This isn't happening overnight, people don't usually go away for weeks at a time around Christmas, and while some do, it's not a huge number by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't think you should even be arguing, you're on Thunder. It's a damn stable squad, and I can honestly say I think it's got alot of depth and intelligent people on it. You guys shouldn't have a problem with this. Unless of course maybe you've had some bad luck and alot of your main guys have gone away, which can happen to any squad. That's the point of having more than just a starting line. You need to be able to pull through.

And being a kid with ADHD I can tell you, in school the kids with ADD get thrown some ritalin and are expected to deal. They don't get the school system changed for them.

You're right, theres a reason why qs didnt go anywhere the one season we played. Staff didnt know how to schedule. If I see that a small squad is going to forfeit if they dont get a time outside of 3 of the 10 slots vs their opponents 35 person roster, im going to at least give them a compromise (4 pm vs 3 pm that sk8 asked for and 5 pm that i asked for). Unfortunately the TWL ops didnt feel the same way and we forfeited the 3 pm game. Thats poor staff decision making, and frankly the reason why people should take it easier on mirror this year. So far she didnt invite seemingly whoever the hell she wanted like pascone did last year, and i dont think she'd let a banned player play in the TWL finals, even if they were on her squad. The plain fact is there are a lot of rules on the TWL site that are open to interpretation (soft lock). No one on this game is a lawyer im pretty sure, so we're going to have to deal with that.

What's open for debate about soft lock? Soft lock means if you leave a twl squad, you can't join another twl squad. Yet a player from twd, can still be added to a twl roster. While hardlock is when no new recruits maybe added for the rest of the season? I figured that was pretty simple.

3.06 Soft Lock
All Trench Wars League rosters will experience a soft lock after the last Round 1 match. This means that any players that de-roster from a Trench Wars League squad will no longer be eligible to join another League squad for the remainder of the season. Players from non-TWL squads may still join.

3.07 Hard Lock
All Trench Wars League rosters will experience a hard lock after the last Round 3 match. This means that no more roster additions will be allowed.

This doesn't make sense to me at all dude. It sounds like you were just agreeing with Izor without any real point other than to agree with Izor. Squads are naturally less active during the holidays, people know and accept that. It isn't anything like a squad going inactive, people getting fed up, and leaving like you seem to be suggesting. Everyone knows why people are inactive, it's the holidays. If they have a brain, they'll wait, go out, and either enjoy the holidays - or get really fucking hammered until they go away.

edit- and if thats what happend izor (wasnt here last season) that blows. i still think QS could of been part of alot of other seasons and etc though had it not been that you attracted a group of players that (other than the tight few running it) were doomed to end up arguing at one point or another.

People squad hop or become inactive when the squad is. Remember the week all bots disappeared (and they had to create new bots to replace roboqueen)

RB went from the most active squad to just about dead due to lack of twd. People just stopped logging in figured no point if bots were all dead.

Bigger and older squads are of course more stable and dont dissolve is cap goes awol for a week. But those new squads which basicly are created with same people, just with different squad name dissolves because people will simply squadhop again.

I don't think tons of people will miss out on voting here. Besides the point of the matter is, there was no way for anyone to vote against specific days in the old poll. You either voted for 1, some, all or none as I have previously stated. In addition, in that poll, you had only 43 people (forget percantages, they're irrelevant) vote to have a holiday for the 3rd-4th. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but on average, more than 43 people miss TWL weekends over irl shit regardless of a holiday being 4 days prior. Hell, Pirates isn't the only squad that has played the majority of the games without our 'starting line' to it's fullest.

The point is, something wasn't clear. If you want to argue that all the people that voted for this day off before aren't here to vote now - you're a moron. You have the bloody result, 43. So far, after only 2 days (the 24th, and 25th mind you) The poll is standing at 38 for playing, against 12 who don't want to. We're basically a day away from beating that previous 43, and I would argue that had people the option to vote AGAINST specific days in the previous poll, we wouldn't of had the 3rd-4th off anyways. So can the people crying about how 'oh no all these people won't get a vote, or won't be represented' chill out and take a gander at the obvious?
